French Pastries And Friendship Bracelets

Me, Jade, Chloe and Niall sat in a little coffee shop while eating a variety of pastries. Well at least Chloe, Niall and I were. Jade decided to order a green tea and drunk that, while we stuffed our faces with the delicious goodies.

"You have no idea what you are missing out on Jade." Niall mumbled as he swallowed some food.

"I can imagine. I just don't think my dietary needs include various forms of pastries." Jade chuckled before sipping her tea once more.

Earlier that day our team had competed against the Changu Mangus once more, but this time we had the advantage. We were playing Tug Of War against them, and since our group had a selection of rather strong men, kind of men, we won.

The price had been that the winning group got to go into the small town down the hill from the camp for the afternoon, so here we are now.

On the way here Liam decided he wanted to go to the cinema watch a film, so Harry, Louis and Zayn went with him. Niall on the other hand, came with us, as he thought that spending the precious time we had out of camp in a dark room while watching something you could watch when you get home was a waste.

We decided to walk around the small town, taking pictures and looking in the small shops. They were all so cute. The town was all so cute. Everything was small, there weren't many people, and hey, the food was delicious from what I could tell. Better than the food at camp that's for sure.

"You know, I think I've fallen in love with this town." I said to no one in particular as I looked out the window and onto the street.

"You've been attending camp and driving through this town for how many years?" Chloe laughed. "And you've only noticed this is what the town looks like today?"

"I don't usually look out the window while I'm this close to camp. I'm always too busy texting you guys about how excited I am." I shrugged before taking a sip of my coffee. I never liked tea. I didn't see the point in drinking herb infused warm water. Which is probably really hypocritical because coffee is basically the same but instead of herbs, it's coffee.

"The town is rather pretty though." Jade nodded before sighing. "I wish I lived here. Everything seems so peaceful. Much better than where we live."

Chloe nodded in agreement. "That town is awful. We should all move here."

"You guys are crazy." Niall chuckled. Have you seen how much a house down here costs?"

"No... Is it a lot?" I asked Niall, not particularly thinking about moving here, but I was now interested on how much a house would cost.

"A lot is an understatement." Niall spoke.

"That bad huh?" Jade frowned.

Niall nodded before finishing his food and we all spent a minute in silence.

"I'm so full. I don't think I can move." Niall finally said.

I hummed in agreement and started stroking my belly, which now had a food baby in it. I mean, my tummy has always stuck out, but this time it really did.

"You think I can trick people into thinking I'm pregnant?" I laughed, which caused the other three to laugh too.

"Probably not." Jade smiled before getting out of her seat. "Come on you lazy bums, we still need to go to that incense shop we saw on the way here. I want to look around."

The other three of us groaned, which caused Jade to laugh. "Maybe next time you shouldn't eat so much."

After a lot of groaning and complaining, we finally made it to the shop Jade was talking about, and as I walked in, an overwhelming scent of candles and incense filled my nostrils.

"Damn, this is some strong shit." I chuckled as I walked around the shop, looking at the various crystals on display and candles that burned while creating funny shadows.

"Maybe I should get a new cartilage piercing. I have had this bar in ever since I got it pierced and I wanted a ring." I whispered to Niall as I looked at the piercings. The shop was so quiet that I felt as if I spoke any louder than that, I would be disturbing everyone.

"I think a ring would look cool. You should do it." Niall said, a thoughtful look on his face as if he had been thinking long and hard before making his decision.

I chuckled and turned my attention back to the rings, before choosing a simple silver hoop. I picked it up after looking at the price and made my way to the cashier so I could buy it.

As I paid for it I saw a small, light wooden box, in a shelf behind the counter, with a sign on top of it saying 90% off.

I knew that Jade would probably take ages until she actually picked something out, so I decided that asking the lady what it was wouldn't hurt.

"Oh you probably don't want that." She said, her thick French accent echoing the room, as she gave me the change for the hoop. "It's been in the shop for a few years now and no one wanted to buy it so far."

She turned around and picked up the box before opening it and reveling the many, small, denim bracelets inside. They were thin and obviously hand made, and had stitches wrapping around them and small fabric rips here and there.

"As I said, no one has wanted them for years, so we lowered the price in hopes we could sell it fast." The woman said as she handed me a bracelet to look at.

"How much are they?" I asked as I run my fingers across the bracelet. I couldn't see the reason as to why no one had bought the bracelets before, they looked cool and were oddly soft to the touch.

"Twenty euros for the whole box. They were handmade and I can't make it any lower without the manager's approval." The lady smiled.

"I'll take it." I smiled before slipping the bracelet on my wrist, next to my dream catcher one, taking out twenty euros and giving it to the lady.

"Thank you. We though the box was just going to gain dust and stay in that shelf forever." She smiled as she placed the box inside a plastic bag and handed it to me.

I smiled and gave the lady a quick wave before walking out of the shop and sitting on a bench that was right by it.

After a couple of minutes the guys came out, Jade carrying 4 bags, as I was expecting.

"Ooh what did you get Mikey?" Chloe said before grabbing the bag off my hand and opening it.

"Just some bracelets and a hoop earring." I shrugged as I watched her open the box and take a bracelet out.

"These are really cool. Can I have one? You have like, fifty." She laughed before slipping one of them on.

"Yeah, you guys can all have one." I smiled. I wasn't planning on keeping them all to myself. Plus the box did contain about twenty bracelets. Not fifty as Chloe exaggerated.

"We should probably head back to where we're meeting the guys. They have probably gotten out of the cinema by now." Niall pointed out as he slipped a bracelet on his own wrist.

We all nodded in agreement and started walking back to the water fountain we had all agreed to meet at.

When we got there, the boys were already there, sitting on the floor while sunbathing.

"Did you miss us?" Chloe said before jumping on top of Harry and throwing a bunch of bracelets in their direction, which ended up hitting Zayn and Louis in the face.

"What are these?" Louis asked as he held one up.

"Mikey got us all friendship bracelets!" Niall screamed in a high pitched voice and I hit him in the arm.

"They aren't friendship bracelets. They could be if you want. But I got them because they looked lonely in the shop." I shrugged before picking up a few ones that had fallen on the floor when Chloe threw them.

"So how was the film?" Jade asked the boys and they all groaned.

"It was in French!" Louis threw his arms in the air, which caused us to laugh.
