(Your POV)It had been a few hours since I ran away. I hated being away from home for extended periods of time but, I knew that xiao would go there anyway, but I wanted to give him alone time.
The pain was starting to set in. I forgot my medicine back at the house. But I didn't want to go back right now.
Whenever I feel sick or just fatigued, I try to make myself cold it seems to calm my body down.
I got up and slowly walked to the water. I gently walked in and sat down. I didn't care if my clothes were wet, I felt like it brought me closer to the earth.
I hope xiao took a moment to really calm down and connect with himself.
(Xiao's pov)
It had been hours since (y/n) went missing.
I was still in the house with the green hair pin in my hand. It Felt like a small part of her was still here when I held it tight.
A feeling bubbled up deep inside and felt like I was choking. Wet drops fell from my eyes.
My hand went up to my eye and felt the wet coming out.
I had never experienced this before but I didn't like it.
Maybe... she'll be back tomorrow... maybe she just went out and gave me some time.
I waited until the next day and impatiently tapped my foot as it slowly turned to darkness. I jumped down and went over to the now dried blanket and gently held it to my chest.
I teleported to her house and hesitantly opened the door and dashed to her room.
Empty.
I slammed my fist on the side of the door frame.
Where were you?
A knock was heard at the door.
(Y/n)!?
I rushed to the door and swung it open hopes to find her standing there with gentle eyes a happy smile there to comfort me.
Zhongli stood with yarn in a basket in his arms.
"Ah, xiao it's good to see you here taking care of her" he said as he walked past me and set the basket on the table.
I couldn't muster up words to speak to him. His sister was missing... how could I tell him?
"(Y/n)! I brought the yarn that you wanted." He called as he walked back to her room.
All I could do was stand at the door and look at the ground.
"Xiao...wheres (y/n)?" His voice called as my hand gripped the door handle.
"Why are some of her belongings gone? Why was this note in the trash?" His voice slightly raised as he walked back to me.
I slowly turned around and my voice wavered.
"I can't find her." My voice cracked as I looked up at him and clutched the blanket closer.
"Xiao...I'm not angry at you... let's just find her before she hurts herself." He said firmly as he walked past me and out the door.
" I know a few places where she might be." He said as he signaled me to come.
(Your POV)
The cold water wasn't helping. My body felt hot and i felt nauseous. My horns and tail were already out as I laid fully in the water with only my head out of the water.
My long hair was spread out around me, I knew If I didn't take my medicine then I'd go into my true form.
After time I couldn't help but groan out, I could feel the sensation on my skin, I was going to turn into my form, it's been a long time since it's happened. Maybe I should just let it happen.
