An eye for an eye

We walked to breakfast the next day, Narcissa and I hadn't talked much. We just did homework in silence.

It was mail day. I waited for my daily prophet as I grabbed a piece of toast and some pumpkin juice. A cute snowy owl dropped off my paper. I sat it infront of my plate, I would read it in a moment. I just wanted to finish my toast first.

I looked up from my plate to see many people staring at me nervously. Narcissa looked at me with tears in her eyes.
"Read the prophet.."
"Oh god, what dumb shit is it today?!"

I unrolled the parchment and looked around the room, the only eyes I was happy to see was Sirius, we looked At each other for a moment before I read the prophet.

"Claire and James Fawley found dead in their house this morning. The killing curse was used on the both of them after being tortured and bled out. No suspects have been identified. The prophet sends condolences to Rinok and y/n Fawley, the couples children."

Tears streamed down my face, I ran out of the great hall. Sirius and Narcissa ran after me. I forgot about the magic chain for a moment as ran across the yard infront of the castle. I was jerked back harshly sending me flying in the air , I fell in front of Narcissa. The wind completely knocked out of me.
"Y/n!! I'm sorry! I didn't know the spell would do that! I would've given you more room!"
"What the fuck was that?!"
"Tom made me put a magical chain on her. He didn't tell me how it worked he just gave me the lead..."
"I'm gonna fucking kill him.. y/n are you okay"
"No! He fucking killed my parents!"
"We don't know that.."
"Yes we do. He tortured my momma and my dad!"

Sirius hugged me tightly. And as he did I felt a sharp pain on my collar bone.
"Shit! I must've cut myself on the fall.."
"Y/n... Sirius get away from her.."
"What why?!"

I touched my collarbone and felt fresh blood. The cut felt like words..

"What does it say?"
"It says -I know what you did.."
"Fuck! He put a hex on me, if I ever touch Sirius that mark will start bleeding again."
"Shit... y/n we have to get you back to the castle! He could return any minute now.."
"Sirius go. Hide.. if he sees you he will kill you."
"Y/n he's gonna kill you!"
"It doesn't matter. GO!"

He ran quickly and just as he got back to the castle as if on command Tom apparated.

"Nice scar you'll be left with"
"Why did you kill them?.."
"It was only fair, and eye or an eye."
"HOW WAS THAT FAIR, I KISSED SOMEONE ELSE AND YOUR REACTION IS TO BEAT ME HALF TO DEATH, HEX ME, USE A MAGIC CHAIN ON ME, AND KILL MY PARENTS?!"
"Don't question my authority. I don't think you've learned quite yet. Narcissa, Bella you may go."

They both walked back up to the castle not saying anything.

"Crucio!"

The whole castle could hear my screams. No one did anything no one helped. Not even the head master could do anything. I was alone.
