"Where can I take you, kid?"
The yellow door of the taxi closed as the driver looked into the rear view mirror, eyeing the latest passenger. It was a young, fairly tall boy, who was most likely a high school student. The would-be passenger had placed a large backpack on the seat next to him.
The boy hesitated before taking out a large sum of cash.
"The Airport." He said in a low voice.
"Alright then. That'll end up costing you around Fifty-five dollars." He said, before focusing on the road.
The long drive was, for the most part, in silence. It was only when the Airport came into view, that he engaged the passenger in conversation.
"Hope we made it in time. Where are you planning to go from here?"
"Ohashi High School, Japan."
"That's a quite a long journey from here. Anyway, I guess this is where you could step out and make your way inside." He said, pressing buttons on the GPS.
"Thanks." The boy said, giving him his pay.
A few minutes later, the cab was gone, and a new obstacle stood in his way. The young man took a deep breath before stepping inside the airport.
