"Look, it's snowing!"

She squealed as she stared at the falling snow from the white clouds in the sky. It was a freezing winter day in the middle of January but the snow made her forget all about the cold. With her face pressed up against the window, Yerenica watched in excitement as she thought of going outside. She rushed to her room to find a coat, preferably a warm one. She found a scarf as well as gloves which matched each other.

Yerenica ran down the stairs and made her way outside. The ground was layered in snow that nearly reached her knee. Trees were covered as well as the palace which made the place seem as if it was a winter wonderland.

Her shoes left footprints in the snow as she ran around. There was so much she wanted to do. She lay in the snow to make snow angels and after a while, a few snowmen were made.

Half an hour later, Yerenica could still be seen playing outside. While working, Erudian sat in his office as he flicked through multiple piece of paperwork. He sighed - tired of working for what felt like days. Suddenly, he heard laughter coming from outside. They sounded so joyous which caused Erudian to wonder who it was. He peered outside his window to catch a glimpse of the young pink-haired princess.

'Wow, I'm so tired that I'm now hallucinating.'

He thought as he chuckled with a hint of sadness. Erudian thought that he was missing the princess so much that he was now starting to hallucinate. He continued to watch her play around until Yerenica looked up to his large window.

As soon as she saw him, her eyes seemed to light up and she smiled. Erudian couldn't help grinning back at her - her smile was contagious and every time he saw it, he felt as if he was falling in love with her all over again.

Yerenica's tried to shout something to him but he couldn't figure out what she was trying to say. Then, she crouched down and started writing something using the cold snow. Erudian watched her with a perplexed expression as he worried for her poor hands. She then stood up and he was able to read what she has written.

'Come outside to play with me?'

She wrote the question with a heart at the end and she looked at Erudian with a pleading look in her eyes. Yerenica honestly doubted that he would come outside yet part of her hoped he would. She looked away for a second but as soon as she looked back at the window, Erudian had vanished.

She sighed with a hint of disappointment. However her eyes soon shone in excitement as an idea popped into her head. Yerenica began to make work on her little igloo. It was starting to feel really cold and Yerenica was slightly shivering yet she only dismissed the cold. She really wanted to make the most of this amazing snow. Would there ever be another chance to have this much fun?

Ruined. Her igloo was ruined. Complete wrecked. Yerenica has accidentally stepped on it without realising and now it looked like a lopsided castle. She sighed in defeat and she thought of going indoors as she felt she was going to freeze to death.

That was until she saw the person she wanted to see most. Her heart started to beat faster as she realised that surprisingly it didn't feel that chilly anymore. In this moment, it didn't feel like winter. The snow, the dead nature, the cold air. They all disappeared. It felt like spring. All the warm emotions started to flood her body. It was him. Erudian. The only person in the world who could make her feel like this.

Erudian was walking towards her as he wore a coat and hat. She felt the heat rise to her cheeks while staring at her deep red eyes. He now stood in front of her and Yerenica was about to say something but Erudian grabbed hold of her face. He brought her face closer to his to examine it closer.

Yerenica's face flushed red - who could blame her? Their faces were so close together that her heart was going crazy.

"E-Erudian, what a-are you doing?!"

She mumbled while she tried to get out of his grasp. Erudian reluctantly let her go and he decided to put his hand to her forehead. Yerenica was now sure that he was trying to kill her. With all these unexpected movements, her heart couldn't handle it all at once.

Erudian then proceeded to take hold of her hand. It then made sense to Yerenica - he was checking if she was okay. He has a sort of concerned expression on his face which warmed her heart even more.

"Princess, you're freezing."

He said but Yerenica was sure that Erudian was lying. She felt like she was on fire and her heart wouldn't calm down. Erudian started to walk to the door as he dragged her along. He wanted to bring her indoors to warm up. On the other hand, Yerenica didn't want end her fun yet.

An ice-cold substance hit the back of Erudian's head and he turned around to see Yerenica giggling. He knew what she wanted so he decided to give in. He smirked as he picked some snow up and shaped it into a ball. He aimed and threw it at her. She squealed in surprise and looked at him in shock.

It didn't take long for them to start throwing snowballs at each other. By the end of their snowball fight, the two were covered in snow, from head to toe. As they walked down the hallway, Erudian continuously scolded Yerenica for her reckless behaviour. She, in response, only laughed it off.

"Seriously, you shouldn't be laughing. What if you get a cold?"

He said as they finally reached the sitting room. They took their coats off and placed them down. The room was heated and it felt much warmer than outside. Though Yerenica missed playing with the snow.

"I won't get sick. I'll be fine!"

She exclaimed as a way of reassuring him. However, Erudian didn't stop worrying and he turned a fire on in the fireplace. The room increased in heat and Yerenica sat in a chair with a blanket wrapped around her. She felt really comfortable but for some reason her throat felt really dry.

Erudian called for some servants to bring refreshments. Yerenica felt really stuffy but she disregarded it as nothing.

"A-achoo!"

She sneezed which caught Erudians attention.

"See. I knew you would get ill."

He said while he called for a doctor to come check on her. Yerenica pouted in annoyance and she coughed again. For the next few days, she laid in bed while feeling horrible. Soon, she finally recovered and was now able to leave her room.

"Erudian! Let's go-"

"No."

"But-"

"Still no."
