Chapter 4

Tonight is the night. The Battle of the Bands.

I'm at the dressing room at this minute. I'm wearing a royal blue polo with a white vest, red jeans, and a PONY High-Top that is color black with blue and a shade.

My cellphone rang. I answered the call.

[Hey! Good luck.] It’s Sophie.

"Where are you?" I asked.

[Front. Do your best. I'll punch you if you lose anyways.]then I heard her laugh.

When did I lose anyways? I always win, and will never lose.

"Zach, ano bang kakantahin natin mamaya? We haven't even practiced yet," bored na sabi ni kuya Jared. Our lead guitarist.

Know what? Someone told me that I'm like a Knight when I was a kid. Pero sa tingin ko, hindi. Knight protects.

And I? I don't protect, especially girls. I break their hearts. And that's what I'm good at.

"Beautiful Eyes. You do know her right? Can you give me this night?" then I looked at them with an evil smile, and with that, alam na nilang gagawa nanaman ako ng kalokohan ngayon.

"Kuya Nickolai, he really do wanna hurt her," sabi ni Zane habang pinapaikot niya yung drum stick niya sa daliri niya.

"Zane, hayaan mo na, it's her fault anyways," natatawang sabi naman ni kuya Jay, our bass guitarist.

"Can anyone remind me where'd we got our nicknames?"naka-kunot-noo na tanong ni kuya Jared.

"Our beloved Kyla gave that nickname," Jay answered with his bored look.

"Ay, oo nga pala, Jay asaan na yung girlfriend mo na yun? She's supposed to be here right?"tanong ni kuya Nickolai tapos tumayo siya at humarap sa whole body size na salamin. "Bakit ba sobrang gwapo ko?"tapos ginulo niya yung buhok niya.

"She's not my girlfriend, she's my bestfriend," defensive na sabi ni kuya Jay, "Nasa harap siya banda, makikita niyo mamaya."

May pumasok na lalaki sa dressing room namin, "next na kayo, punta na po kayo sa backstage."

Kinuha ko na yung Electric Guitar ko.

"And now, The Newest Band in our Campus, the One and Only, Miracle 5!" tapos naghiyawan na yung mga nasa labas.

Pumwesto na kami. Madilim, pero nakikita ko si Sophie. Bumukas na yung spotlight, saken lang nakatutok. Napangiti ako, "This song is dedicated to my New Girl Friend, which made me believe in crush at first sight," then may isa pang spotlight, sakanya tumutok. Halatang nagulat siya.

Tumugtog na kami.
