Kai: and the Grim Forest

Ninja Training

"Ding Dong" the sound of a gong woke Tsuya and Kai up, they got up and ready for the day with the ninja uniform that was set underneath their beds. As they walked down stairs other people stared at them and whispered, then one kid who looked around their age, and looked at them, "What's up with the scar?" He asked, Kai didn't respond so Tsuya did for him "It doesn't need to be told if he doesn't want to." Tsuya announced.

"Ok loser guess the story doesn't matter and neither do you" he replied, "Hey don't talk to my friend like that" Tsuya hissed. "Oh yeah watch me!!" He yelled, "Finn that is quite enough. Don't treat our new friends like that" Koko told Finn.

Finn purposely bumped into Kai and Tsuya, Kai's hand caught a light of dark fire, Tsuya grabbed his arm and whispered "It's not worth it" During the training they went outside for fighting skills they had the ninjas fight amongst themselves.

"The only rule is no weapons, only powers" Sensei Koko announced. "First match Tsuya versus Jay!!!" Sensei Koko hollered. Jay made the first move by throwing a fireball at Tsuya, she used a forcefield to protect herself. She then suddenly turned gravity against Jay, others were whispering "What is her power?!" One kid yelled out. Jay then fell out of bounds and lost to Tsuya. "Tsuya is the winner of the first match."

"Second match Finn versus Kai!!!" Sensei Koko yelled, Kai waited for Finn to make a move when suddenly Finn disappeared and reappeared in front of Kai and punched him. He flew towards the line of the boundary but stopped at the last second.

Kai's hands turned dark and covered in fire, "Sensei Koko you need to end the match!!" Tsuya yelled to her, "Why?" Sensei Koko asked, "Kai is going to use his dark fire power which he gets hurt every time he uses it!!" Tsuya yelled, but it was too late. Kai punched the ground and a ring of fire was around Kai and Finn.

"So his power is fire, LAME!!" Finn teased, "I can hear you!!!" Jay yelled, Kai then turned into a shadowy figure and all you could see was his purple eyes and he smirked. Kai dragged Finn into the ground. He came out perfectly fine, and Kai tried to sneak attack and Finn punched him right in the face and he went out of bounds.

Tsuya ran over to Kai to check on him, she helped him up and Finn was busy bragging about his "glorious victory" and Tsuya used her magic to heal Kai from his injuries. "Ooh look he needs a little girl to help him up, haha what a loser!"

Finn laughed, Kai turned into his wolf form and ran into the woods nearby. Tsuya ran after him going into her panther form too, she saw him up in a tree as his human form, tears dripped from his cheeks, Tsuya climbed up the tree also and sat with him. "Don't let him get to you. Just try to ignore him." "All better wittle Kai, haha" Finn teased him. Kai tried to run at him but Tsuya held him back, "Tsuya, don't even try! You're too weak!" Finn exclaimed, Tsuya smiled and let go of Kai. Kai grabbed him by the hair and let him go. Finn sat on the ground all scared then got up and acted like he would have won that battle.

The class walked back into the campus when suddenly they received an order from the top ninja clan to go on their first actual mission. "Alright ninjas, we are going onto our first mission, a gang of demons are invading again in Akuma city, they used their powers to create a certain vehicle of choice Kai created a four wheeler and Tsuya rode with him and others chose motorcycles and cars until they were all ready, they rode to Akuma city.

When they arrived they all hopped off of their vehicles and headed straight for the broken down building where all the demons are coming from, Kai summoned a Katana enchanted with dark magic. Kai and Tsuya both had weapons and charged immediately while others watched, they slaughtered all the demons except for one and it was pretty massive.

A ten feet tall demon with hands that could crush anyone in one hit. It picked up a car and threw it at the other ninjas and they joined the fight alongside Kai and Tsuya. The demon was knocking people over with its hands until it was slashed in the face by Tsuya, it turned and looked at Tsuya and smashed her, "TSUYA!!!" Kai cried out, Kai's hands caught on fire again he ran so fast the demon couldn't keep up and he stuck his hand right into its belly it caught on fire and died, "How did you kill it in one move?!" Ume asked in astonishment

"You can't regenerate what is disintegrated." Kai responded, just then Tsuya lifted its gigantic hand and was huffing and puffing. "You're alive!!" Kai exclaimed, "Yeah, I caught its hand before it hit me." Tsuya explained, Finn walked past them and into the broken down house behind them everyone followed, Kai saw a door creeped open and walked in. He then saw his father's lab coat and a book in his pocket. He took a quick glimpse and cried "No, no, no!" Kai yelled in fear.

"What happened?" Sensei Koko asked, Kai didn't respond but handed her the book and it read "Demon making potions" and right beneath it said "My son Kai drank the potion so don't keep around toddlers then he gave it to my friends daughter Tsuya Kat, I have to send them away for their own safety so no one will attack them." Sensei Koko smiled at him and said "Demon, human, vampire you are still part of our clan and that won't change anything actually it makes you, you." She comforted him. "Thanks. But I already knew but I just didn't believe it when the townsfolk said stupid demons as they threw tomatoes at us."

"I am proud of you guys standing up to the demons with no hesitation" Sensei Koko thanked the kids, Kai went up stairs and Tsuya followed him, "Kai where are you going?" Tsuya asked, "To put on comfy clothes, why?" Kai responded, "Just wondering." Tsuya answered. They came out in their pajamas, they walked down the stairs and everyone was watching a scary movie. Tsuya and Kai saw an open spot on the couch and sat down. They watched for about ten minutes then fell asleep, Kai suddenly stood up and walked around the room.

"Is he sleep walking?" Ume asked, "Looks like it!" Jay laughed. "Shut up, tryna watch a movie!!" Finn yelled which woke Tsuya up and she grabbed the pillow next to her and squeezed it, she yawned and was back asleep.

Kai bumped the wall and woke up. He then sat Tsuya back up and sat back on the couch. The others just watched the movie until Jay asked "If you guys are demons, why haven't you eaten anyone?" "Well, we're a type of demon that gains energy by eating human food and sleep, well that's what the book said, but that's probably why we fall asleep so easily." Kai yawned.

Tsuya grabbed Kai's arm and whispered "I'm going back to bed" "Ok I'll meet you up there" Kai whispered back. Tsuya walked up the stairs, and saw something strange, she ran up the stairs to see a demon in their room, she screamed and Kai ran upstairs and saw the demon with Tsuya in its arms, they both vanished.
