Kai: and the Grim Forest

The Mood

Tsuya woke up to her pillow on the floor and when she picked up the pillow she noticed Kai under his bed crying. "Oh my gosh Kai what happened!" Tsuya exclaimed. "In the middle of the night someone brought me into a room and tortured me!" Kai cried out. "Where? Who?" Tsuya asked trying to calm him down. "Under my bed, and a big polar bear." Kai got out from under his bed. "Kai it was just a dream." Tsuya helped him up, "why are you so sweaty?" Tsuya wiped off her hands. "Never mind I don't wanna know." Tsuya quickly said. "To be honest, I don't even know why." Kai confessed. "Guys I found this in the attic!" Jay yelled "Catch!" Jay threw the item at Kai, Kai caught it and recognized it from his book.

He flipped through the pages till he found it, "It seems to be some type of.." Kai started. "Mood gem." Tsuya finished his sentence. "How do you activate it?" Jay asked, "I don't know, it says you have to press this, and this." Kai and Jay pressed in the imprints on the gem. Suddenly a big light flashed in their eyes. When Tsuya opened her eyes again she saw broken glass and Kai and Jay covering their faces. "Well it exploded." Kai said with dissatisfaction, Kai walked downstairs Jay and Tsuya followed. "Hey guys!" Tai exclaimed, Kai's hair turned dark red. "Tss. What do you want." Kai scoffed, his hair turned back to his black and violet. "Woah... sorry I meant sup." Kai apologized. "What was that about?" Tai questioned. "We tried to activate a mood gem but it malfunctioned. Must of still worked.. ish" Kai explained. "Malfunction?" Tai asked. "It blew up." Kai put in a shorter way.

They went into the kitchen and saw Kocho and Sensei Koko making breakfast, the others were already outside training. They quickly ate and went upstairs to put on their uniforms. They walk downstairs to the yard and they set up Tai's wooden training equipment, They decided to have a tournament between the six of them. "First Tai versus Jay! Shadow and Fire!" Kai yelled. Tai looked at Kai, "what but I can't fight my friend!" Tai butted. Jay attacked first with a fierce, fire ball. Tai dodged and turned into a shadow and snuck upon him and choker held him, Jay got angry and burned Tai. Jay's entire top half of his body caught on fire! Tai threw a kunai and it melted when it got close, Jay sprinted at Tai, Tai ran in the other direction, Tai almost went out of bounds, instead he turned into a shadow, while Jay looked for Tai, Tai kicked him out of bound, his foot caught on fire, Tsuya put a spell onto it to put out the fire.

"Next! Kunai versus... Tsuya! Marksmen versus Violet energy!" Tai yelled, Tsuya quickly attacks Kunai with her electrical shock, Kunai touches Tsuya shoulders in which shocks both of them, Tsuya kicks him away and her hair turns bright purple, "Oh crap! Looks like the mood gem affected Tsuya as well!" Kai panicked. Tsuya blushes and winks at Kai. "Dude... what emotion is this?" Jay asked nervously. "Uhh I guess flirty?" Kai questioned himself. Kunai everts his eyes and trips over Tsuya's shoe, and out of bounds, Tsuya giggles and her hair turns to black and violet again. "Woah, what happened to me?" Tsuya wondered, She quickly looks at Kai, Kai's face is all red, he pulls his mask over his entire face. "Oh, that mood." Tsuya laughed nervously, whilst playing with her hair.

"Next Fight! Tai Versus Ray!" Tsuya yelled, "You know I don't really know what her power is so." Tsuya whispered to Kai. "Same, I have no clue." Kai responded. Ray quickly sprints towards Tai, she summons a vine to tangle him, he turns into a shadow to escape the grasp of the vine. Tai puts Ray into a choker hold. "Sleep." Tai whispered, Ray elbows him in the nuts, "Right. In. The. No, no square." Tai flopped to the ground. "Dude, why'd you do him like that!" Jay laughed. Tai is still rolling around on the ground and screaming, he suddenly jumps up, ready to fight again. He turns all dark like and runs at Ray, she turns him around and kicks him in the butt.

Tai clutched his hands into fist, Tai got so mad, steam was practically coming out of his nose, Tai swoops his leg behind Ray, leaving her to trip and fall, he puts his foot on her chest. "Stay down." Tai whispered angrily. "Time out guys!" Tsuya cried out. Tai took his foot off of Ray. "We'll call that a tie." Kai bargained. "Next fight, Tsuya versus Kai!" Ray screamed. Kai and Tsuya bow to each other, Tsuya was the first to attack, she uppercuts Kai without hesitation, Kai lands on the ground and his hair immediately turns fully black. "What mood is that?!" Jay asked. "Let's find out." Tai sighed looking at his brother.

Kai tackles Tsuya to the ground and summons a kunai, and puts it to her throat, Kai's hair gets it's purple fade again. "What am I doing!" Kai exclaimed, Kai grabs Tsuya's hand and helps her up. Kai hugs Tsuya, "We need to fix this." Tsuya whispered. They run back inside, they take off their boots, Kai runs upstairs to the remains of the mood gem. Kai pulls out his spell book and repairs the gem, Jay, Tsuya, and Kai press in the buttons on the mood gem, and it resets their moods. Kai flops onto his bed and sighs, loud. "Glad that foolery was over." Tai sighed with relief. "Guess that last mood was lost of sanity!" Jay laughed.
