Gumi had been waiting for this meetup for ages, she was incredibly excited when it was finally happening. They'd decided to all fly down to Florida and stay with Punz for two whole weeks, Red and Ant staying in the spare bedroom while Gumi took the sofa bed.
She arrived in Florida late that evening a few hours after the others as she got an Uber to Punz's.
When Gumi arrived you could feel her excitement as she approached the door, quickly being greeted by Punz before being shown inside. They talked for hours as Gumi's excitement began to settle in as they slowly wound down. Ant and Red decided to head to bed that night shortly followed by Punz, all deciding to get some rest.
The next morning, much to Gumi's dismay, she woke up nose deep in her headspace. She didn't want to be little this early in the trip, knowing it was almost inevitable being so close to her caregivers but not expecting it on day one. Had Gumi felt any older she would've been able to keep her composure but being on the edge of baby space she couldn't, crying softly in her bed.
Ant tiredly headed to the kitchen for breakfast, before stopping in his tracks at the sound of crying, looking over to see the upset little. "Gumi what's wrong, are you okay?" He asked kneeling next to the sofa bed.
Gumi pouted "Small" she sniffled, that was all she had to say before Ant plummeted into his own older brother headspace.
"It's otay it's otay" Ant tried comforting to no avail, "I go get dada" Ant reasoned, racing down the hallway in search of his caregiver.
He practically crashed into Red as he began to try and drag the older out of the room, "what's going on Ant?" Red questioned.
The younger huffed, stopping momentarily, "Gumi sad dada need ta fix it" Ant explained, pulling his arm relentlessly.
"Okay bug I'll go fix it, can you go get Punz?" Red asked, sending the little to go find their other caregiver, knowing Gumi preferred him when small and chances are if Ant regressed Gumi was also regressed. So, Ant shot off to get Punz while Red headed to the living room.
Red found Gumi curled up underneath her blanket, hiccuping harshly. "Gumi, it's Red can you tell me what's wrong?" He questioned sitting on the edge of the bed. Gumi shook her head, reaching out to the older desperately. "Do we have a wittle Gumi on our hands" Red teased, earning a small nod from Gumi.
"No 'mall" Gumi pouted, hoping the older understood that she didn't want to be small.
Thankfully Red did understand, "why not sweetheart? Ant's getting papa don't you want papa?" He asked earning a more eager nod from the little.
Ant returned quickly, Punz in tow happy to see his solution of getting Red had worked. "Papa" Gumi whined.
"Hi Peanut" Punz cooed taking the girl into his lap "why are you so sad huh?" He asked raking his hands through her messy hair. Red explained for her, talking in silly voices to hear her giggle. "Well how old are the babies?" Punz teased asking both littles.
"Not a baby" Ant argued, "I'm four Papa, look! 1 2 3 4" Ant showed excitedly. Gumi on the other hand, held up two fingers before dropping one down.
The caregivers nodded, "why don't we go get some breakfast?" Red suggested to which the others agreed.
Punz carried Gumi on his hip, setting her on the counter as Red and Ant made their way into the kitchen. "Can we have pancakes?" Ant asked, bouncing excitedly when told yes.
They got started on breakfast before Punz whispered something to Red before walking off. "Papa?" Gumi called out.
"It's otay Papa be back Gumi" The older little assured. Red smiling at the interaction between the two as he continued to cook.
Soon enough Punz was back, hands hidden behind his back. "I got you guys something for when you visit" Punz explained revealing the small boxes he had been holding, handing them off to the littles. Ant was quick to open his, Gumi requiring a little more help with hers revealing the contents of the box,brand new little items.
"Thank you" Ant said hugging Punz's side.
"You're welcome Bug" Punz said ruffling the littles hair.
Red finished making the pancakes setting them on the table. Ant waited patiently for his pancakes to be cut before attempting to scarf it down to go play with his new things. "Slow done bud you're things aren't going anywhere" Red warned eating his own breakfast.
It took a little longer for Gumi to eat her food, requiring some more help from Punz. "Say ahhh Peanut" he said holding up a spoon, making exaggerated noises to make her laugh.
Before long everyone finished their breakfast, Punz and Gumi joining them in the living room to see Ant playfully running away from Red who was 'threatening' to catch him. "No no" Ant giggled when Red finally caught him, tickling him until he was out of breath from laughing.
Punz and Gumi sat on couch, entertained with watching the pair play. Gumi rested her head contently in the crook of Punz's neck, enjoying the undivided attention from her caregiver no matter how much she had objected to being little earlier.
