Link sighed. He knew that he had no other choice in the matter, but... he wanted to just go back home to the Gerudo Desert. He had to save Hyrule from Valoria's destructive power no matter what it costed.

"Link... I fear that our kingdom is going to be needing help once more. I suggest that you hurry to the ruins." Trevian said finally.

The hero nodded, knowing fully of his purpose. He had no idea whether or not he would be coming back here after Valoria is defeated. But if he will, then he would make sure to send his regards to Trevian and Jaylin. They helped him on his mission.

"Link. It has been quite the journey since you realized your fate in Lady Moriah's palace in Gerudo Town and picked up the Master Sword in the old Temple. I have guided you down every path and helped you with every conflict. But now I must serve a final purpose in your destiny. Once you have imbued your blade with Farore's Flames once more, return to the Gate of Time and go to the Tanagar Palace. There, I will give you, Ganondorf, and Princess Zelda the means to ruin Valoria's hold on the Divine Beasts and weaken his power. I ask that we discontinue our association by thought and that you begin to rely on your own courage as well as the Master Sword." the Hyrule Warrior explained with a hint of regret.

But... why so soon? Link asked.

"Because I serve a single purpose. That, young hero, is to set you on the right path. I have already done that and now it is time for me to prepare for the ending of the Legend of the Desert." the ancient hero answered calmly.

I see. May we meet again in two thousand years at Tanagar Palace. the younger hero responded.

And with that, Link suddenly felt as if a piece of him had been cut off. There was a sudden void inside him that was not there before. He felt that he was no longer complete. It wasn't that he loved the ancient hero. He simply enjoyed his presence and sudden appearences.

He also cherished the one way he had to make sure Ganon was alright and not hurt.

"Well. I must go now. Thank you for the information, sir." Link said finally.

The elder man nodded. "Of course. I felt like this world still had some way to help the hero."

The hero nodded and walked out of the house. He began towards the Palmorae Ruins, his new goal in this foreign time. He had no idea what to do or how to activate the mirror which would allow him to enter the place with the flame in it.

He walked down the road to find an okd pedestal. It was made of the same stone as most of the ruins he had found around Faron.

The ruins had reminded him of an old story of a warmonger tribe that wielded magic and made their homes in the wilderness of Hyrule. Supposedly, they had been driven back from the kingdom many times before landing on Aris Beach and Cresia Point nearly twelve thousand years ago.

Back to the mission. Link reminded himself.

He studied the pedestal to find a young man looking at it. He had a rather odd haircut, reminiscent of the haircuts of the Hylians across the kingdom. He disliked most of the haircuts.

"Sav'saaba, voe." Link said.

The man jumped and looked at him. "Oh! I didn't see or hear you walk up. I'm Garini, Lurelin Village." the man held out his hand.

He shook it reluctantly. "Link. Gerudo- Gerudo Settlement out to the west."

Garini nodded. "I see."

The hero pointed at the pedestal. "What- what are you studying there? Is it some sort of... relic?" he asked.

"Yes. It was once a circular structure of sorts. Supposedly it would reveal to the hero a path to his courage." the man responded, not necessarily to Link.
