Hey y'all, sorry it's been a while. Having the shittest time of my life taking finals. My brain is fried. Good luck to everyone taking their finals rn.
When he came through the door that day, Mrs. Kim and Jin were waiting with heaps of food. They gave him hugs and kisses but didn't ask about Jungkook. He could tell that they were curious but looking at his distressed state, they didn't mention it.
When he inquired about Taehyung, they gave him the same answer as the last couple of weeks. Taehyung, once again, was "busy" with his modeling and couldn't make it to dinner. Jimin could tell they were lying, but he went along with it. He didn't need Taehyung. Well, that was what he told his heart. The truth is, he wanted to see him.
He didn't know why. Maybe some morbid part of him wanted to learn about Taehyung so he could compare himself to him. After all, Jungkook would choose him over Jimin. How could he be so sure? Jimin himself couldn't quite explain his anxiety, but he was sure of it.
Jimin ate, enjoying the happier moment with his family.
A night after the dinner, Jimin received a new phone. Jin laughed at his puzzled expression. "We couldn't recover the one lost from the crash. So, here. You've got me, Mom, Jungkook, Hobi, Yoongi, and Sejin Hyung on contacts. Please, keep this on you always."
The smaller opened the phone and scrolled into photos. There weren't any – it seems that they couldn't recover the memory. Jimin grinned at his Hyung, expressing his thanks with a short hug.
"Thanks, Hyung." He chewed on his lip as he hesitated to say his next words. "I think I want to go back to school."
The other Omega froze in his place in the middle of Jimin's room. He expected this reaction, but the spooked look on Jin's face made him concerned. "C-Can I not?"
The older composed himself quickly before sitting next to Jimin on his bed. Jin put his slender hand on his thigh before looking into his eyes. "Mom and I thought it would be better to do online, Mini."
Jimin shook his head, his mind racing in a million different directions. "That's a bad move, Hyung. The media will only be more curious and be pushier than they are right now. The more we try to hide it, the more noticeable it will be."
Jin closed his eyes, smiling a little. "I forgot how smart you are, even without memories."
Jimin only eyed Jin, waiting for a response to his earlier question. The older thought about his next words before looking back at him. "You're right, but it doesn't matter. We will protect you. Focus on you and...Mochi Park."
The other burst out into body-shaking laughter. "Is that the baby's name? Mochi? Why?"
Jin couldn't help but wrap his arms around Jimin and snuggle his cheek into his. "Because it will probably be plump and have a chubby face."
Jimin giggled at his hyung's funny name. The taller patted his stomach, eyes becoming solemn and hard to read. The younger Omega grabbed his hand and brought it up to his cheek, smiling at Jin.
Jin's odd look seemed to fade as he admired his brother. "Oh, Mini, you're glowing."
Jimin blushed at the compliment before squirming out of his hold, expression settling back into seriousness. "I'm going to be okay, Jin Hyung. I want to go forward, no matter what it takes. Plus, I only have a few more months of school."
Jin sighed tiredly, silent as he thought about his proposition. He raised a brow, staring at Jimin in doubt. "Do you even remember all the subjects? Enough to be tested on them?"
