I was going to post another update for my other story, but right now I'm on a roll with this one and I can't have a writer's block.

I cannot.

The next morning, on the 26th of December, Jimin awoke to the noise of arguing. He didn't know when he fell asleep, maybe it was when Jin crawled into the bed next to him, or much later than that.

"How could you!"

It was Jin's voice and a woman's. They were close enough so that he could hear every word they spoke.

Mostly, it was Jin who was talking.

He sure does talk fast when he's mad.

"You've never been there when we need you to. You're always going all over the earth except where you're children are!" He was angry-crying, Jimin could tell.

"Why did you even take him in if this is how you were going to treat him?! Right now he needs an adult who can tell him everything will be alright, not a dumb college kid that can't pay his own bills."

Take him in?

"Jin, please, sweetheart. I'm sorry I couldn't be here for you guys. You know I just wanted the best for all of you. Why do you think we live so comfortably? It was all for you, Taehyung and Jimin." The woman pleaded with him, her soft feminine voice almost lulling him back to sleep.

"I-I know. I know! But just look at him." Their voices got closer and closer until he felt a smooth hand on his forehead.

"Oh, Jimin-ah." The woman's smell invaded his senses.

She smelled like apples and cinnamon. Apple pie would be the best description. He was overcome with a strong need to curl up into her lap.

When he felt moist lips touch his forehead, he pinpointed what emotions he was feeling. He missed this person with all his being.

"My stubborn, strong boy. You could've told me. All you could've done was told me and I would've been by your side in an instant." She sobbed, her soft touch caressing his cheek and neck.

He felt her hair tickle his face as she whispered in his sensitive ear. "Whatever you have will be cherished, I promise."

Was the baby okay, then?

His eyes flew open and stared straight at the crying woman with wide eyes.

She was beautiful beyond words. Her deep russet eyes were just like Jin's, along with the delicate nose and full, pink lips. They looked so alike, he wondered if they were siblings rather than mother and son.

"T-The baby made it?" He sputtered, not caring if Jin was right there. He needed to know.

Jin let out a surprised gasp from beside him, and the woman's tear-streaked face became overjoyed.

"Yes, sweet child. They're fine. Your baby is going to be alright." She swore, holding his hand in a tight grip.

Jin's mom sprang out of her chair and drowned him in her warm, tender embrace. He felt the air rush out of him and felt like he was on cloud nine.

His baby was going to be okay.

"When the doctor told me, I was shocked. But you know I'd never be mad at you for this. I couldn't with everything that has happened." She mumbled into his disheveled hair.

Jimin let out a relieved sigh and felt the stinging in his eyes, an indication that he was about to cry. He looked toward Jin for a sign, but the other's face had become stony.
