Heya~
I'm back in the U.S. and over my writer's block. I honestly didn't know what made me struggle so much, but I'm glad that's over with.
Here is a longer chapter as my apology ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Jimin let out a dry laugh, one that wasn't anything like Hoseok had heard. It made the Beta's chest hurt as he looked at the state of his best friend.
The Omega looked drained, cheeks more sunken than when he would go on his extreme diets during seasonal runways. His eyes wandered lower – to the scar on his left hand. Hoseok quickly drew his eyes away, his lips deepening into a frown.
"You must be lying, Hyung." Jimin rubbed his tired eyes with the back of his hand. "Taehyung sounded like he couldn't stand the sight of me."
The other shook his head as he struggled to explain Taehyung's actions. "H-He, you just have to know that he cares for you. But, he's...angry."
Hoseok remembered Taehyung's curled-up body weeping outside his apartment door. Of course, he remembers, he was the one that took care of him as the Omega completely lost it.
Jimin was expressionless when he heard Hobi's excuse. The Beta was no stranger to this blank mask. The blonde always used it, more so when it came to topics of Taehyung.
Slowly, he reclined back into the chair, eyes softening at the Beta. "It's okay for him to be angry. But if he truly cared for me, he would swallow his pride and come visit me. I don't wanna hear any more of Taehyung from you, Hyung. I'd rather he tell me to my face."
His Hyung tried speaking, but he dropped his shoulders, giving up. He knew he couldn't keep defending Taehyung, but he couldn't let Jimin think that he was loathed by him.
Not after all the time they were friends for.
Hobi sighed but nodded. He agreed. Taehyung needed to tell Jimin at some point. Maybe facing him can give him some much needed closure.
"Okay. Should I start with the ones who like you or don't?" The Beta asked as he pulled out a book from his bag.
A gloomy look crossed his face. "The ones that do?"
"Good, we will start with the shorter list to get it out of the way," Hoseok said with all seriousness, flipping through the book.
"What's that?"
The Beta glanced up and smirked. "A yearbook."
Jimin pressed his lips together, bracing himself.
It was Wednesday when Jimin woke up earlier than usual. Today, he actually had the motivation to wash his face.
The Omega splashed his face clean of any product he rubbed in and locked eyes with himself in the mirror. Something about him looked different.
His pitiful eyes seemed...determined. Jimin smiled, genuinely this time. He looked like he was finally done feeling bad for himself.
As he changed, he thought back to his and Hoseok's conversation. It had been exactly three days since he met up with Hoseok, and yet, he still couldn't come to terms with how many people he offended.
Jimin poked his head through his vest and adjusted it before turning to his full-length mirror to analyze himself. What he saw made him freeze in his spot. Slowly, as if his reflection would run away, he approached the mirror.
He remembered something. The feeling of the uniform on his skin, the way his vest hugged his torso– it made something click inside his brain.
He didn't like it. The uniform that is.
