The "Perfect" Son

Chapter One: Finally, Something Different.

  Another day, doing the same thing as usual. Wake up, take a shower, get dressed, go downstairs, eat breakfast, alone, like usual, have a photoshoot, fencing lessons, Chinese lessons, go home, try and have dinner with father, yet again I'm eating alone, go upstairs, practice piano, do homework, get dressed, go to sleep, repeat. Every. Single. Day. You can see why I would get bored of this life. Well finally it all changed when I finally got to go to school like any normal kid. Then, everything changed again, the same day I was able to go to school, I found a box. This box held great power. Plagg, who is a small, three inch tall, cat like creature, who can pass through objects, and fly. Then the silver ring that came with him, grants me the power to turn into my alter ego, Cat Noir. 

  That happened a year ago. Cat Noir has freedom, more of a life, a sense of humor, things I don't have as my normal self, Adrien Agreste, super famous model. Cat noir can say "Cataclysm!" and break any one thing he touches. So basically I'm a superhero. Then there's Hawk Moth, a villain who feeds on bad emotions, and then uses akuma's, which are butterfly looking creatures, to akumatize anyone he wants who has bad emotions. Then there's Ladybug, my partner, who I love by the way. She's so brave, and smart, and I can be myself with only her. If only she wouldn't reject me in such mean ways a lot, but I've gotten used to it. The only thing I wish for is that, I want father to not expect so much of me. After mother.. Disappeared, he's never been the same. He never let's me do anything, yet I listen to everything he says. I know he would love me if I wasn't perfect though.. Right?

    Well, anyway, now that I have you up to speed, let's go to today, shall we?

    "Adrien!" I can hear Nathalie, my dad's assistant, calling. "Yes.. I'm awake." I grumble still tired from fighting those villains last night. "Alright, well get up Adrien, your breakfast is ready." I can hear her call now from my doorway. "Alright.." I grumble. "Good." I can hear her say, then I hear her leave. So I get up, get dressed and head down stairs. Wait, Father, at the table, with me? "Oh- Father? What are you doing here? You never eat with me?" I say, still feeling surprised. "I decided I had time to spare, only until 7:10 a.m." I hear Father say, I'm bummed. "But- that's in ten minutes?" I say, probably sounding sad. "Exactly, I don't have any more time to waste." I hear Father say, and instantly, I'm hurt. "Time to Waste"? I'm that much of a burden, wow. "Oh-Okay, I understand Father..." I manage to spit out, still hurt. "Good." I hear him say, in his same cold, monotone voice, as usual.

    Now it's after breakfast with Father, he didn't talk, only ate, and left. I stayed there for a few minutes then left. Now I'm in my room waiting for Nathalie to come and tell me it's time to go. Luckily I hear her coming up so I grab my backpack and leave my room before she says anything. Honestly the only two places I like are school, and Luka and Juleka's houseboat. Even though I don't know them well, I always have fun there. Father never let me go though. I realize I've been zoned out thinking for a while now, because we are already at school. "Bye!" I say to my bodyguard. He only grunted in return, more than I get from Father though, so I'll take what I can get.

    "Hey, Dude!" I hear Nino, my best friend, call. "Hey, Nino! Good Morning!" I say. "You too dude, let's get to class." Nino says. I follow as he walks. Then were stopped in the hallway by Marinette? She usually never talks to me? "H-Hi Adrien.." I hear her mutter, why is she always like this around me? "Oh- Hi Marinette!" I say. "H-Hello, so I- uh- was wandering- no wondering if too-no you would like to go to Luka's houseboat today?" I hear Marinette stutter out. "I don't know, my Father never really let's me go much of anywhere, but I'll ask!" I say, hoping he says yes because I really want to go there today. "Uh-Okay-Bye Madrien- I mean Adrien!" I hear her say, the last part a little loud. "Uh-Alright, yeah bye!" I say, while I already see her running off.

    I turn to Nino and say, "So, have you noticed Marinette acting really weird around me, and following me around, stuff like that?". "Well, I never really thought about it- uh- well, yeah kinda. I shouldn't tell you this because Alya will get mad, but you're my best bud so.." I hear him say, and I'm instantly intrigued. "Nino, tell me. What is it?" I ask, really curious now. "Nope, nevermind. Forget I told you, Alya will have my neck!" I hear him say, the last part sounds dramatic. "Wait-No!" I manage to shout out as he basically runs to class. That's weird, why would Alya know? I guess her and Marinette are best friends. I should ask Marinette at the boathouse tonight, if I can go, that is. Father will most likely say no, I probably should not expect much. As usual.
