A thousand thoughts raced through Absentis’s brain, he wanted to protect Lou, but he couldn’t save Istoria if he did.

‘|_∅\/€?  ∅π  +|-|€  |<¡c| \/\/|-|∅  π@|\|  |=π∅|\/|  ¥∅|_|?’

Was Lou more than a kid who ran from him? She had never really been his daughter, she had always been distant. Lou had asked millions of questions and Absentis had told her the honest answers.

As they danced, thoughts raced through his head.

Eventually, Lou began talking, not asking questions.

“Listen, I know you have Dream in your head.”

Absentis stopped moving.

“I know you’ve agreed to kill me if it means getting Istoria back.”

She sighed as they both walked off the dance floor.

“I’m sorry that I’m not sorry for this.”

She looked at Absentis, her hands in his.

“But you weren’t my father.”

Out of the blue, Her sword appeared in her hands, she held it at his throat.

“Lou what are you-”

“Your insurance that nothing bad will happen to my friends, my family.”

She looked down at the ground, afraid of what she might have to do.

Guests were scrambling back, guards had appeared around them both now.

“Ms, Put the blade down.” one said, but roses sprouted out of the ground and knocked all the guards unconscious.

“LOU!” I heard Tommy yell. “LOU THIS WASN’T PART OF THE PLAN.”

Vines held him back too.

Guards were hacking through the roses. But they kept sprouting.

Absentis looked at Lou.

“Loudi, what happened to you?”

Tears appeared in her eyes.

“YOU. YOU HAPPENED.” Loudi yelled. “You tore EVERYTHING away from me! You tore my family away, my friends. Why didn’t you tell me I wasn’t your kid? Why didn’t ANYONE TELL ME.”

She screamed, The walls expanding and screams were heard as guests began running to the exit.

“THE ONLY PEOPLE WHO CARED ABOUT ME WERE LOKAN AND SPITHA, YOU TORE LOKAN AWAY FROM ME TOO. I’M SICK OF LOSING PEOPLE DUE TO YOU NOT CARING ENOUGH.”

Something snapped inside Absentis. He knew that Lou wasn’t the small girl he had taken in anymore, he knew he had been a crap father, but he never wanted it to get this bad.

Dream finally got to him.

He believed every lie Dream had ever whispered into his mind, every Fib about Lou he was fed.
