I noticed how hot it was first, then realized how quickly these roses were dying.

I changed my form to cacti and sure enough, it was cooler, and I felt the connection grow stronger.

I smiled and looked at Quack.
“Woah! What the hell!” he yelled as Phil turned to see me.

Phil smiled at me.

“Hello, Vasaelia from nowhere!” I heard from behind Quack. I saw a figure, he looked human, but there was a green goop on his head and shoulder, and neon green eyes.

I was also a bit shocked when he called me by name.

He pushed his glasses up his face.

“I’m Slime.”

I looked at him confused.

He was a bit smaller than Quack and seemed to look at my cactus figure knowingly.

“Hello, Slime.”

I said to him, confused, but waving anyway.

He waved back and I smiled.

“Okay Vasaelia, care to explain?” Quack asked, Slime held onto Quack like his life depended on it. He was wearing green suspenders and a green tie. He looked like a tiny businessman.

“Phil, go get the other two.”

He nodded and walked towards his horse. I took in the sandy area we were in.

“Quack-”

“Quackity from Las Nevadas. Who is she to you?” Slime cut in.

Quackity sighed and turned to Slime.

“Slime, this is My daughter.”

Slime nodded, shaking his head, causing some of the goop to fall off of his head.

Then he jerked his head back up, making my figure of cacti jump a bit.

“Is she trustworthy?”

Quack laughed, looking at my figure.

“My duckling? Untrustworthy?”

I smiled, I felt my eyes getting droopy.

“Quack listen closely, I don’t have all the time in the world, and seeing as I don’t know where you are you’ll have to trust me.”

He nodded, listening closely.

“Absentis, at the party, he took Spitha.”

I was about to ramble on when he held up a hand.

“Kid you don’t need to say anything more, where do I need to meet you?”

“The prison, as soon as possible.”

He nodded and said goodbye. Before I left Slime looked at me.
