The restaurant was clean and formal. Giving off a sophisticated yet casual appearance.

Walking to the front desk and waiting in line I played with the key to the car.

When a waiter saw us he walked over to the front desk.

"Good afternoon, just for the two of you?" he says gesturing between us, and even though the French accent is there he spoke flawless English.

"Yes please" Olivia says, and the waiter nods before we walk off towards a table that seemed to be in a sort of quieter and more private area.

I like it.

When we were seated I opened the menu something that I know many other old money people wouldn't do but I liked fine food and variety so I broke that a little bit.

"What can I get you two to drink?".

"Olivia" I say letting her order first.

"Moscato please" she says and I internally laugh because that was what I was going to order.

"Your finest bottle please" I say glancing at the waiter.

"Of course" the waiter said before rushing off to get what we had ordered.

"Moscato?" I muse looking over at Olivia with a small smile on my lips.

"Italian wine is good you have several bottles of it at home" she replies and I just nod because I know it's true, I tend to keep a fifty-fifty of red and white wines.

After a few minutes the waiter returned with our glasses of wine and the bottle already opened which was almost like a god send because I couldn't listen to the cork opener squeak incessantly.

"Merci beaucoup" I say politely accepting the glass and bottle while filling both mine and Olivia's glasses with what I would consider a generous amount of the wine even if it merely came to the top of the glasses base curve.

"De rien" the waiter replied before opening his small black notebook to take our orders.

"Madame".

I gently smirked and I saw Olivia subtly cough at the word as we both new what it meant before she looked up at the waiter while setting her glass down on the table.

"Soupe à L'Oignon" Olivia says, and I can hear the slight French accent she's picked up because I have actually taught her some but she picked up the language very easily which also resulted in her getting a slight French accent.

"Magret De Canard, please" I say, stacking the menus and handing them to the waiter once he had finished writing down our orders.

"I will be right back with those".

"Thank you" Olivia says before the waiter walked away once again.

When he was out of earshot I smirked at Olivia swishing my wine slowly around it's glass cage.

"Madame, hmm" I hum, and she kicks me gently.

"I'm not a misses" she says.

"No but one day you certainly will be" I smile taking a sip from my glass and I could almost swear her eyes almost glistened at the mention of it.

"One day" she muses.

"One day" I repeat, "just not right now as that looses the element of shock when I go on one knee".

"Don't tease me Adrian" she says narrowing her eyes at me.

"Never bellissima" I say, "I won't ever lie to you, not once".

"You've kept that promise for six years I should have expected you to say that".

"But you didn't" I quip, and she rolls her eyes at me.

We just sat drinking our glasses of wine and knowing us neither of us would finish the glasses we held by the time we left.

Our food then came ten minutes later leaving us to enjoy it as time passed until it was just past five PM and the idea of walking through Cannes came to me.

Leaving two hundred euro notes under my plate as payment, me and Olivia walked out of the restaurant and got back into the Bugatti.

"As a small gift for you I have a place I'd like to take you before we have to go back to the airport to go back to Dubai" I say starting the engine and driving off.

"Where is it?" Olivia asks and I glance over at her with a small smile.

"It's a surprise" I reply.

Passing along the long drive on the coastal road along the Mediterranean I eventually turned into a small helipad where I intended to rent a helicopter.

Parking the car, I got out, locking it once Olivia had gotten out.

We both then walked inside where I filled out the paperwork for the helicopter and handed over the money before walking out into the helipad field where several small helicopters all rested.

I then walked across the concrete towards a Eurocoptor 130 and pulled open the door to it, and getting in.

Olivia then quickly did the same as I prepped the helicoptor for flight, and fastened the straps for myself.

Once the rotor blades were spinning I turned the aircraft and began flying along the beach, giving us a full view of Cannes, and the Mediterranean Sea.

"It's beautiful" Olivia says as the sun cast golden rays across her face.

"Everything up here is" I remark taking in the scenery which did include subtle glances at the woman beside me, who could have passed for a model.

I then suddenly take a turn and begin to fly out away from the shore though mostly to get around the ferry routes from Cannes to Nice.

As we flew further I eventually spotted Monaco, and knowing how far that was from Cannes did a full circle and began go head back to the city we came from.

"It's so peaceful up here" Olivia says, "I see why you flew so much before I met you".

"Because I could just escape, yes" I say beginning to bring the helicopter lower so that we could land, and I could do it from an accurate height.

As I came in to land I levelled out the aircraft and lowered the helicopter slowly until the landing gear had touched the ground.

I then let Olivia get out while I completed the landing procedures before shutting off the controls and going back into the actual airfield centre to return the keys for the EC130.

We both then walked out to the parking lot so that we could return to the airport.

On the drive back which took a while because of the traffic Olivia fell asleep, and I drove.

Once we got back to my jet I parked the car, and got out leaving the keys in the requested place, and took Olivia out of her seat to carry her onto the plane.

This was one of the things I found funny, Olivia was equally as strong willed as me and definitively recognized as my other half yet she, had the softest and kindest heart, along with a bit of a baby at times in terms of her falling asleep anywhere as long as I was nearby.

It was cute to everyone even me, but I also wasn't blind to why. People hurt her when she was younger before she met me, and I was the one who put them away one specifically twice. She was my angel and I was her savior and guardian.

And I willingly will live with that for the rest of my life.

Getting her to our seats I reclined ours so that we could sleep on the journey back to Dubai, so that the event tomorrow would be easy to face, and could hopefully go well.
