Today was the event planning day so I had gone down to the hall where it would be held though I didn't exactly want to organize the whole event a single day before I was to go to the fashion show but I didn't get to choose what I got to do at certain times.
Pulling up to the door in my Bentley Continental I slid out of the car, and shut the door before walking inside to see that the theme that had been gone with was purple and grey. This was obvious because of the streamers going from the chandelier to the corners of the room along with carpeting and floral displays.
Walking through the two doors on either side of the entryway I saw a room filled with over two dozen tables with deep purple table clothes along with four chandeliers all having similar designed streamers going around it along with grey curtains pulled to the side with light glowing over all the walls making the inside seem more like a Hollywood hall then a place where my company would be having it's five year anniversary.
"Mr. Winters what are you thinking for stage drapes?" one of the designers asks coming up to me with several types of coloured fabrics on her arm.
"I was thinking maybe the ash grey one's with the company log outline in this orchid colour" I say looking at the options and pointing to the one that most appealed to me.
"Okay, and what about the main carpet should it match or be in a different shade.
"layered fabric I think should look nice almost as if fading down from a really rich dark shade down to a mauve purple if possible with the same thing done with greys so it almost looks like a fabric ocean because of the over lapping fabrics".
"That can be done" she says walking off, while a connoisseur for the various expensive champagnes and white wines we would be having as available options for drinks one the first of December walked over to me.
Olivia had done quite a lot for the event and was actually the one who had gotten majority of this up and organized while I had just now finished today's work to come and see what was going on, along with the vast amount that would likely need to be done in the regards of food and drink along with stage display being left to me, as I had promised to cover that section of planning everything.
"Mr. Winters we have several different glasses I would like you to try" he says leading me over to a table with seven glasses around it all with name cards so I knew what I was drinking.
"How many do I pick?" I ask looking over at him as I picked up the nearest glass to me.
"Three, it would be easier to get in the amount of time we have".
Nodding slightly I lift the first glass up to my mouth and take a small amount of it as it would be for sipping not chugging so it only seemed right to try them all like this.
As I progressed through them I quickly noted which three I liked the best as pointed to them in the end for ordering while the glasses were all cleared and carried off.
This was also the reality of events like this everything was planned and coordinated to a fault down to the final detail especially in cases such as this where everything much be perfect, mostly due to me saying that it had to be rather then needed to, but besides that it was an important milestone for my company and I wanted to give everyone a party that will be remembered even if the actual date for recreating the new generation of Winters Group began in October not December I still wanted to give all my staff something that they would enjoy.
When I had gotten to deciding the final things such as what types of food there would be, how many courses, and how large servings should be I asked for the bill of supplying all of this, and the only saving grace had been that I was once a gain sober from the champagne, and two I saw numbers like that a lot more then I would care to admit, because shopping sprees in Paris, and Milan with both me and Olivia's tastes were expensive.
Staring back at me on the crisp piece of paper that listened everything was an eight digit number, soon followed by my signature, and my black card to pay for it all.
Luckily I make that in an hour.
Walking away to the front door I spotted Olivia parked outside with a smile on her face, dressed in a tan trench coat leaning against our 812 Superfast.
"You're going to draw the attention of everyone on this street" I muse unlocking the Bentley.
"Well you're about to be floored because I have something to show you" Olivia says with a wry smile as she slides into the front seat of the Ferrari.
Getting into my own car I followed her through New York to Greyhawk Architecture, before parking outside.
"So do you want to tell me what is going on and why we're at our architects headquarters?" I ask looking up at the building that ran every architect firm under Winters Group.
"Just something I had been working on" she says looking back at me as we step inside the glass building.
Along the middle was a hallway with columns along the sides going up to the ceiling with a heated glass atrium.
"I have been working on something for you, and no it isn't a house we both know that we own enough" she says before turning around to face me as I smile at the fact she said we not your.
"What exactly is it then?" I smirk walking along before she led me up to the second floor of the building to a room with light grey walls and a glass wall with a table in the middle covered by pieces of paper.
Each one had a sketch of a glass building with black floors, and grey walls along with coloured blueprints with dimensions of a space of seventy two hundred square feet with thirty rectangular platforms that looked to be able to lower themselves on command from a touch screen on the wall.
"Olivia what is this" I ask looking up at her.
"Well you have forty eight cars in our garage, and well this is for the opposite side of the property to go underneath the guest house, I also have a list of vehicles all that were found and are waiting for confirmed purchase" Olivia says handing me a folder which I opened to see ten of the twenty four spots with names beside the number, each car being more expensive then the last.
"I have three questions, who paid for this, how long will it take to build and how much will this cost?" I ask leaning on the table.
"I did, two months, and sixteen million dollars" Olivia replies, "I know you love cars, and I also know you often go and buy new cars on a whim, you will have the space to keep your cars out of the elements".
"So you decided to commission a showroom for our cars" I laugh itching the crease of my nose.
"Yes, why not eventually you will have filled this too".
"That will make over seventy cars at our house".
"And, you buy cars and make use of all of them, I also drive our cars" she says and nods.
"Well then I guess we better get started on building it then" I muse looking over the plans and at the group of architects in the room. "Explain what else Ms. Thorne has had you design for this showroom".
And that's what they did for every detail, which over time became more and more clear how much Olivia thought about it all, to make it a perfect gift for me.
Luckily I also have a perfect gift for her, one I get more and more excited to give her every day it gets closer to the planned day that I will present it to my beautiful girlfriend.
So yes they will be having a showroom meaning more cars that will become available in the next and final book before I begin working on the prequel. Comment, vote, and share. AnywaysPeace✌
