The group lived through the big wave of zombies and the toxic ones as well. They bypassed a town that was at an imminent meltdown at the nuclear power plant that had many radiated zombies, they had this bright green glow to them but very dangerous, you could not go anywhere near them or even let one touch you, or you would be infected with radiation poison. It was a very emotional time for 10k the most 'cause the one man he helped shut down the meltdown at the nuclear power plant reminded him of his father and he hated that he couldn't save him from dying.

How did it happen?

10k went in with a man named Homer who knew how to shut down the power plant what happened was a z bit into his radiation suit leaving a hole. He got sick from the poison right after the hole was ripped open. Once he shut down the reactor he cut the rope 10k was using to hold the man up over the pool of toxic radiation.

10k hated that he couldn't help Homer, he felt like he was a failure, he couldn't save his father, his friend who took off now this man.

On a run trying to gather some supplies, they needed more ammo and water right now. They still have enough food from what Murphy found. When Cassandra tried to get away from a z by hopping over a fence she got cut by the barbwire at the top of it badly. The cut was very deep and didn't stop bleeding right away. The cut was on her inner thigh, the bleeding did stop after a day but it was still very sore and now getting infected which was a very bad sign. On the drive, they met up with both Addy and Mack.

Once on the road again they were driving along a long highway. 10k still didn't talk much he kept replaying Homer's words in his head that he had to go on for him, his father, and Homer's son who passed. 10k was going to try his best to live and go on for as long as he could. He aimed his gun and headshot a z as they drove by it. "2,995." He said as they saw a kid walking along the highway alone.

"Woo another sad kid in a weird flowered shirt," Doc said looking out the window as they pulled over. They saw a few dead kids on the way up this road but now they finally found alive one.

Warren got out of the truck. "I got this one." She said as she walked over towards the kid. "Hey, whoa. You okay." She asked the kid who looked like he was lost or something. She wondered why a kid would be out here all by himself with no one around.

"A little thirsty is all." The kid answered looking at the older woman. He was tired from walking for so long.

"Of course. Hold on." Warren turned around and grabbed a water bottle from their truck to let the little boy have a sip.

The boy took a long sip from the water bottle then passed it back to Warren. "Thanks, ma'am." He said with a small smile on his face.

"You can call me Roberta. What's your name?" She asked as she took the water bottle back from the little boy.

"I'm Sam." He answered.

"Sam." Warren nodded her head. "Does your mom know you're out here all by yourself?"

Sam nodded his head. "I'm going to Salt Lake City to see my dad."

"That's not a good idea."

"Yes, it is. I'm old enough now. I finally get to meet my dad."

"It's too far. It's not safe."

"It's not too far. Brennan and Dax are already there."

"Sam. Salt lake City's been overrun by zombies."

"Yeah, right," Sam said as he walked past Warren just to make it to his father on his own.

Warren just couldn't leave a child alone like this. "Uh, wait, wait, Sam. You're right. You are old enough to go see your dad. But here's the thing. We've run out of food. Can you help us?"
