chapter 8

Mist's POV

I woke up in a large purple bed and my fur was soaked. I looked to my left to see flo looking out the window. Getting irritated with my fur being wet and wanting to get payback on flo I got out of bed, snuck over to her and shock my fur dry, drenching her in the process. She turned to look at me and instead of her giving me the angry look I was expecting she hugged me "it's nice to see you're awake"  flo said "just wondering but why was my fur soaked?" I questioned. She let go of me and replied "after you passed out we had to tend to you're burns by drenching you in water and sky said that when you where awake to send you to meet him by the stables" "thanks for the help flo" I said and left for the stables.

When I arrived at the stables, just as I was told sky was waiting for me. I walked over to him "hi sky"  I greeted but I was still a bit nervous around him since he nearly sentenced me to death "hi Mist" he replied "so what did you need?" I questioned "I wanted to get to know you since you are probably going to be here for a while" he replied and led a pure white horse with a saddle on it out of the stable and got on it's back. "So where are we going?" I questioned "just follow me" he replied and rode off with me following behind.

When sky finally stoped and got off his horse he tied it to the tree and stroked it's head "you wait here hope" he said to the horse "hope?" I asked "that's her name I called her that so that when I ride into battle on her I always remember to have hope" he explained.  Sky led me to a clearing where we could sit and talk. "Sky can I ask you something alpha to alpha?" I questioned "I wouldn't exactly call myself and alpha more of a general but sure" he replied "if I do ever find any survivors of my pack do you know any ways I can prevent a repeat of what happened to the others?" I asked "haven't you fort for the one's you care about?" "From what I remember other than Quinton no since I wasn't of age" I replied "how old are you then?" "13" "wow you act like you're 20 even after all you've been through" he said sounding shocked "it's honestly just a act" I said starting to cry. All of a sudden I feel sky hugging me "Mist since you weren't of age to be alpha don't that mean that you're pack wasn't you're responsibly yet?" Sky questioned. I nodded "but pack members rely on each other for protection not just the alpha think of my old pack as you're friends then you'll understand" I sobbed and sky nodded understanding and he continued to comfort me until I stoped crying which was when I fell asleep in sky's arms.
