chapter 16

Mist's POV

When me, Quinton and Surf escaped from the squid base I went into my human form and Surf climbed onto my shoulder. I noticed that Surf uncovered my Orange eye but I didn't care since she was a close friend of mine. After drying off we made our way to spawn city.

(Time skip of sqidyness)

When we arrived at the gate to spawn city I looked up to see sky standing by it instead of the guards. Without even looking at us he asked "who are you?" "Quinton and Mist wolf" Quinton replied. All of a sudden sky snapped his head up at us and ran towards Quinton tackling him into a hug. When he stoped hugging Quinton he looked at me and pulled out his sword and pointed it at me and Surf. "What are you doing here and why did you bring that thing with you" sky said in a hateful tone. "That thing is my friend" I growled at him "well it isn't welcome here and neither are you" he said and knocked Surf off my shoulder and just as he was about to kill her I grabbed a sick, got in front of her and blocked the attack with the stick and pushed him away causing him to fall on his back. "Mist" I heard surf say. I turned towards her and I saw that she held a iron sword. I grabbed it with my tail and dropped the stick. I grabbed the sword from my tail and saw sky get back up.

"This is for hope" sky yelled and charged at me. Luckily I blocked it with my sword but only just but I still had sky pushing his sword against mine causing me to slip back and eventually fall and land on my back lucky Surf moved. Sky stood on where he shot me causing me to howl in pain and cry a little and he just smiled a evil smile at me and kicked my sword out of my reach. "Give up mutt" he demanded holding his sword to my throat ready to strike. I sighed in defeat and not wanting to hurt him I nodded. Sky pulled back his sword and thrusted it forward and just missed me. It turns out Surf lacked onto his arm and he stumbled backwards. Surf jumped
off of him and I pinned him down and kicked his sword away knocking his glasses off in the process. I looked at his golden eyes that where much like Surfs but with one main difference. In his eyes where pure fear of me.

(Flashback)

I was in a burning forest with my pack running in all directions but not making it that far before they where caught by a member of the squid army and killed. I was the only one that wasn't being targeted by squids. My mouth was covered in blood and I was walking up to my father with a wicked smile on my face. I pinned him down and looked into his brown eyes and saw nothing but fear. I bent my head down and bit him in the throat. I felt him struggle until he finally went limp. Finally my pack was dead but I was wrong. I saw a light blue wolf run behind me, hit me in the back of the head and then all I saw was darkness.

(End of flashback)

I got off of sky. And just broke down crying. I killed them. I killed them all. Out of the corner of my eye I could make out sky with his sword risen above me. "Just do it already I deserve it" I sobbed and I closed my eyes. But instead of feeling the sword hitting me I felt arms wrap around me. I opened my eyes to see sky hugging me so I hugged him back and cried into his shoulder. "Sky I killed them" I sobbed "killed who?" Sky asked "m-my pack" I replied only to be hugged tighter by sky "don't worry we're your pack now" surf said, climbing onto my shoulder wiping away some of my tears. "Thanks" I said smiling slightly. "Lets all go inside" sky said while helping me up and we walked into spawn city.
