Chapter 31

A/N: hello everyone! Welcome back! Glad to see y'all here for the newest chapter! Remember, I'm just the writer, the various OCs in this story belong to Gabeherdon308 and Mandalore the Survivor, and the Dragon Prince belongs to Netflix.

"So...uh, yesterday must've been a hard day for you," Callum spoke up as he flopped beside Rayla as Sol Regem moved through the forest.

"Not really."

"You know, back when I was a kid, my family used to do this thing called 'big feelings time,'" Callum continued.

"Uh, Callum, I hate to burst your bubble, but you still are a kid," Trezac deadpanned.

The other boy tossed him an annoyed glance as he turned back to Rayla, "Well, when we did it, you close your eyes and ask yourself if you have any big feelings. Then you say them out loud and the other person says they hear your feelings and it makes you feel good."

Rayla looked at Callum, shaking her head. "Humans are so weird."

"Hey, don't lump me in with him," Trezac said.

"I'm just saying we've been through a lot lately. It would be understandable if you guys had some big, big feelings."

"Callum, stop."

"Come on guys. It's good to talk about our feelings."

"If you don't stop pestering us about this right now, I'll give you a big feeling on the side of your head!"

"Knock it off! All three of you!" Sol Regem growled. Turning his head, he grabbed Zym by his tail and sent the hatchling by his feet as the humans and elf crawled off. "We have company."

Rustling came from above and Rayla pulled out her swords as Trezac grabbed his sabers, preparing to activate them. A black blur moved down and landed in front of them, their wings twitching, "Greeting travelers. My name is Naimi Selari Nykantia, but they call me Nyx."

"Hi Nyx. My name's Rayla, they call me Rayla. And I'm in a bad mood. Either you fly away now or I'm going to use these blades to do something that's gonna cheer me up."

The winged elf leaned back, using her finger to try to push the sword away from her neck. "Ah, should've guessed. You're the banished Moonshadow elf."

"She's not banished anymore," Trezac said stepping forwards and crossing his arms. "What do you want, Nyx?"

"I am an emissary of the Dragon Queen. She received your message and she sent me to help you," Nyx replied with an exaggerated bow, "I am at your service."

"Yeah, I don't believe that for a second," Trezac deadpanned.

"And tell me handsome, why don't you believe me?" Nyx asked.

"I've spent years around liars, traitors, backstabbers, bounty hunters, and slave traders. If you want to lie to me, you have to do much better than that."

Nyx pursed her lips, looking annoyed as she pulled out a small piece of paper. "Message said you would be traveling with a human mage and a Jedi."

Sol Regem growled, "And what do you know of the Jedi?"

"Well Mighty Sun King, like every other elf in Xadia I grew up hearing stories about them," Nyx replied rolling her eyes at the dragon. "Not to mention the temple in the Midnight Desert." Nyx turned to Trezac, "And you my handsome friend, I take it you're the Jedi?"

"Yes, and I'm guessing you intercepted that message before it could reach its destination."

The blue-haired woman looked aghast as she put her hand on her chest, "I'm wounded."
