Chapter 29
A/N: hey everyone, welcome back. Anyways, remember, I don't own the Dragon Prince, and the OCs are owned by Mandalore the Survivor and Gabeherndon308.
"I can't believe I'm almost home!" Rayla said, grinning from ear to ear as the small group walked over thick interwoven roots—or in Sol Regem's case took a longer way around so he wouldn't get stuck. "Somehow I'm happy and excited but also terrified."
"You're just nervous," Callum remarked prying an adoraburr from his hair.
"I think it's more than that," Trezac spoke up. "You're afraid...do you think that returning without the rest of your group will make them think you ran away?"
Rayla balked, looking back at him, "Uh...no...what makes you say that?"
"What you told us about your parents, and the fear you had when I suggested it," Trezac stated, crossing his arms. Seeing Rayla deflate slightly in defeat, he put a hand on her shoulder, "I'm sure it will be fine. They would be idiots to do something without getting the whole story."
"Exactly!" Callum agreed, "Once they see you and widdle baby Zym, I'm sure they'll help." He placed the adoarburr in his hand onto four others on his open palm, "Yes! Five in in row! A new record! These guys are so stackable!"
Rayla chuckled, "When the other elves see me and Zym is one thing. But my new human friends, might not be so popular."
"But you know who is going to be popular? Your charming new elf friends!" Callum exclaimed pulling Trezac by his side with a wide grin on his face.
"No."
"Please no."
"Get ready to meet...Elf Callum and...Trezac, your costume!"
"I'm not wearing that."
"Please!"
"I would rather die than be caught dead in that," Trezac said crossing his arms. Pulling his bag off his shoulders, he opened it and pulled out his black cloak as the adoraburrs Callum had been playing with leapt inside. Tying the fastening he threw up the hood, "If you want a disguise, there, I'm disguised."
"But I made you a twig hat and everything!"
"Did you make a hand with one less finger?" Trezac reminded.
The other bow glowered, he clearly didn't consider that. "Well, at least I look like a forest elf!"
"You mean an Earthblood Elf?" Rayla corrected."
"Yes that!" Callum nodded, "Wait, the illusion's not complete."
"There's an illusion? I hadn't noticed it beyond your ridiculous outfit," Trezac deadpanned.
"Oy there mate! I'm an Earthblood Elf! All me best mates are trees!" Callum started sauntering over to a tree and hugging it, causing the other two to facepalm. "Mate is Earthblood for friend! High four?" He raised his hand and Rayla reluctantly gave him the high-four. "Dow low?"
"No, we're done," she said trudging past him.
Zym on the other hand, used his tail to give Callum the high-five.
"Zym, I had higher standards for you," Trezac muttered.
-.-
"Prince Kasef, Eleven, thank you for coming," Ezran said hopping onto his throne as the foreign prince and ambassador entered.
"Why have you summoned us? Have you changed your mind?" Kasef demanded.
"No, but there's something I wanna tell you that might change your heart," Ezran smiled petting Bait as he crawled onto his lap.
