"So, what is it you wanted to tell me?"

"So, what is it you wanted to tell me?"

Wonwoo rested his chin on his hands, patiently waiting for the young mafioso to elaborate the situation to him. "Someone was trailing me during the mission earlier. It wasn't Seoyun, I'm sure of that."

Wonwoo cocked an eyebrow. But even so, his expressions remained composed. "Did you manage to identify the person?"

Haneul pursed her lips, not knowing how to explain. She has always been a rational person. In her opinion, there was no such thing as magic. Everything must has an explanation and reasoning.

"I thought the person looked a lot like-" she stopped in the middle of sentence, inaudibly mumbling the last part.

Wonwoo gave her a confused look. "Sorry, like who?"

Haneul shook her head, getting back her composure. "No one, boss. I believe I was just seeing things. But I did see that the person had a gun under their possession."

Wonwoo nodded his head, still suspicious of her answer. But he did call her here to tell her about something and he believed it's connected with the person who trailed her.

"Oh yeah Haneul," he called. "Before you go, you do remember that in order for us to stay glorious we need to make deals, right?"

Haneul stopped for a moment to think, trying to find out where he was going with this conversatiom. "Uh, yeah?"

"Good. Off you go, you'll see what I mean when you're at it."

"Call the clean-up team and make sure they clean up the corpses away. Investigate whether they have family members or not. If they do, I will contact them myself," the mafioso announced to his subordinates, looking at the deceased members in front of him.

"Keep the police away from this, the executives will arrive soon to take over this investigation."

"Mind telling me what happened here? What a mess."

Their heads immediately turned towards the source of the voice. The young mafioso walked into the scene, examining the body.

"Good afternoon, sir. The warehouse guards were murdered last night. They died at the scene after being shot 9 to 10 rounds of 9mm bullets."

The young man put his hands inside his pockets, looking at the corpses. "Based on the number of shots and the way they were shot,"

He hummed, kneeling down to look at the bodies closer. "We're in big trouble."

"Oh are we?" Another voice suddenly said, making them all turn their heads once more.

"Jung Haneul, what a lovely day for an investigation, isn't it?"

Haneul rolled her eyes. "Oh please, shut up Hyunjin. It seems like they were shot with a machine gun at a close range, less than 5 meters. Do you have any surveillance footage?"

One of the subordinates handed her the photos from the surveillance camera. It showed a picture of a figure wearing a huge black cape, covering their entire body. They also put on a black mask, covering their face.

It was the same person that trailed Haneul yesterday.

"How can this person get away when they're doing this alone?" Hyunjin frowned.

The Noir Mafia was known for having strict security, especially for their warehouse.

"Has anything been stolen?"

"Yes. This person took three rifle guns and quite a lot of 6.5mm bullets."

Haneul gave the surveillance footage to Hyunjin, looking at the tall buildings in the distance.

"So they're a sniper. But why steal from our warehouse?" Hyunjin asked.

"To grab attention," Haneul said. "This is just a warning sign. They were trying to tell us that they're our there somewhere."

"Who?"

Haneul sighed, shrugging her shoulders. "I don't know."

"I do," a voice from behind suddenly said. "And I even have proof."

They all jolted their heads, taken aback by the sudden appearance of the tidy-looking man. It was the man who interrogated her a few days ago- the brown suit man.

Haneul raised an eyebrow. "You again. What do you want?"

Hyunjin frowned, tapping her shoulder. "Wait what, you two know each other?"

"More like he knows me. I don't even know his name." Haneul said in annoyance.

The man chuckled. "Right, pardon me. My name is Lee Jeno, the Royal Military Intelligence. I'm sure you already know who I am, pleasure seeing you here, Hwang Hyunjin."

"Cut the bullshit, what do you know about this person?" Haneul showed him the picture of the hooded figure.

"Not so fast there," he stopped her. "I have a few things to clarify first."

"You're wasting my time," she took her gun out, pointing it at him. "Just go straight to the point."

The rest of her subordinates then followed her, pointing their guns at him. Hyunjin just stood there in silence, observing the whole situation.

Jeno grinned at her sudden offensive behavior. "You are aware that I can arrest you right now, am I correct?"

"I know you won't, unless you won't come here alone."

"Well, yes you are in fact correct. I'm not here to arrest you, it's quite the opposite actually. I'm here to negotiate with you." He explained.

"About what?"

Jeno took out a picture from his suit pocket, "I will tell you who is responsible for this mess, but you'll have to help me catch that person."

Haneul looked at him with a puzzled look, not believing what he just said. A Military Intelligence working with the mafia?

Hyunjin frowned. "What kind of nonsense is that?"

"This person was last seen yesterday, trailing you. So I came to the conclusion that she's trying to reach out to you."

Haneul was surprised he knew about this person trailing her. "And who is this person?"

Jeno turned the picture in his hand around, showing it to her. Her eyes immediately widen, her pulse went up as she felt mixed emotions blooming inside her. It was something so ridiculously unbelievable.

Hyunjin was not far different from her. He was also taken aback.

"Son Hyunjoo."
