"Haneul." a voice called.

Haneul turned her head around, only to see nothing but the dark. Walking in a dark, abandoned area in the middle of the night wasn't anything new to her. However, it didn't mean that she wasn't scared. She was, but she was better at masking it.

The moment she turned back around, her hands immediately reacted as a figure appeared in front of her out of the sudden. Her fast reflexes gave her the advantage as she anticipated something to appear.

She managed to snatch away the gun, turning the situation around.

Her eyes that were wide open a few seconds ago were now shrunken to size, sighing to herself. "You again."

Seoyun smirked at her, lifting the both of her arms to the air. "Ah, I failed again didn't I?"

"You suck, you know? I can kill you right now." She said, loading the gun.

Seoyun chuckled, not a single expression from her face displayed fear. "Go ahead then, but you won't ever know who hired me, will you?"

She was right.

Haneul knew Seoyun was just playing. She could really kill her if she tried, well at least the possibility will be higher. She was a skilled assassin after all. But Haneul was trained by assassins as well, it made them somewhat in the similar level.

"Why the fuck are you here?"

"No reason. You look startled there for a second, did you think I was someone else?"

Haneul snickered, throwing Seoyun's gun back at her. "Not your business. Now fuck off if you're not gonna kill me tonight."

She walked out of the alley as she intended to leave the girl behind.

"What was his name again ah right, Lee Jeno, isn't it?"

Haneul stopped in the middle of her tracks, turning around to face the girl again. "What did you just say?"

"Lee Jeno, right? The man from the Royal Military Intelligence. He's quite the man, huh? Very attractive."

"Get straight to the point."

"I have no idea why you're working with him, but something must've intrigued you. But here's the thing," Seoyun stopped, taking a few steps closer to Haneul. "You do know that whoever's involved with you will be dragged into your problems, right?"

"No," Haneul denied. "I'm not dragging him into my problems. We live in two completely different worlds, I'm sure he'll be fine. He's a marquess, a fucking noble."

"Why does it matter? You and him living in two completely different worlds."

"He's not getting affected by me."

"He might, you never know." Seoyun beckoned.

Haneul let out a bitter chuckle, finding what Seoyun just said was nothing more than utter nonsense. "That's bullshit. We both know what he's capable of, and if any, I'd probably be the one affected by him."
