"I'm just a loser, not a lover like you."
The two of them live completely different lives. Like the two opposite side of a magnet, they were subconsciously attracted to each other.

Haneul put on her long trench coat, finishing the look of her attire for today. She wore a white ruffled blouse paired with a short, black skirt. To add a little bit of spice, she decided to wear black knee socks along with a pair of black boots reaching just past her knee.
She had also put on her thigh holsters concealed underneath her skirt. The latter was designed specifically for her to put her hand gun, it was such a convenient item to have.
She stepped out of the train, arriving in the 9th district. Neo City is made out of 23 districts in total, with the Bloomstone Palace located in the heart of it, the 12th district. The aristocrats live in the northern part of the city, the 1st up until the 11th. The higher the district they live in, the higher their nobility.
The northern was also filled with Royal Military bases, excluding the Navy Department as it was located outside the city. There was a reason the Marquesses of Mortshire, the Lee family, were called the rulers from the North. Because in fact, they were residents of the 1st district.
Now, she was heading towards the Intelligence Section of the Royal Military. Jeno urged her to come as they have found another lead to finding Hyunjoo. She was supposed to go with Hyunjin, however he had an important mission to attend.
"Please wait a moment, the General will arrive shortly." The man instructed.
Haneul looked around the room. The Intelligence Section was definitely different to the Land Army headquarters. It was a lot more serene and vacant, as only a few get to work in the secret intelligence service section.
But one thing's for sure, the rulers of this place must be the aristocrats.
Haneul then felt a light tap on her shoulder, bringing her back to her senses. It was her reflex that made her jerk the hand away from her, tackling the person down to the floor. She had the person pinned down, only to realize that it was the one person who called her here- the General Lee Jeno.
Her eyes widened as she pushed herself away from him, standing back up. "Bloody hell, don't sneak up on me like that."
Jeno groaned, fixing his suit. "Thank you for breaking my back."
"Oh please, don't be dramatic," Haneul rolled her eyes. "Let's just get straight to the point now, shall we?"
Jeno brought her to his office, not far from the room she was just in. It was located in the 17th floor, showing a great few of the city from up above. She recalled being her once, the day he told her Hyunjoo was alive. She took a seat on his sofa, watching him take out a few documents.
He then turned to look at the two guards in his office, motioning for them to leave.
"General, are you sure?" One man asked, feeling unsure to leave him alone with the mafioso. Haneul only rolled her eyes at his question, finding it quite offensive.
"Yes, corporal. You're both dismissed,"
As soon as the two left the room, Jeno shoved the document towards her. "Read this, you'll find all the information you want."
Haneul raised an eyebrow as she schemed through the files. It consists of information about Son Hyunjoo, her tracks, and even her private data that the mafia didn't even know about.
She then saw a few pictures from a recent surveillance camera, showing the figure who was supposedly to be Hyunjoo eating breakfast in a café in the 19th district.
"She's really alive." She mumbled to herself.
"She is, that's why we need to arrest her," he then showed her a picture of a familiar man. "Now tell me, what do you know about this man?"
Haneul took a closer look at the picture, knowing for sure who that man was. "Oh him, I killed him."
Jeno opened his mouth agape, eyes squinting at her unanticipated reply. "Why is it that every time I ask you about someone, your answer is always 'oh I killed them' huh?"
Haneul rolled her eyes, "If you haven't noticed which I'm sure you have, I'm a fucking mafia executive. What do you think my job is? Taking care of children?"
Jeno sighed. "Okay so he's dead, just tell me the remaining information you know about him."
"His name is Kim Jungwoo, lived in the 21st district, a member of a street gang. He used to steal drugs from Noir Mafia's supply and resell it to people for a higher price. We tracked him down and killed him."
"Was he ever connected with Hyunjoo in any way?"
Haneul shrugged. "Not that I know of. Hyunjoo betrayed the mafia two years ago, and I killed this man around 5 months ago. I'm not sure if they know each other."
"Alright then, I'll dig deeper regarding this information."
Just when Haneul was about to stood up, they heard a loud beeping sound that sounded just like an alarm- the emergency alarm. The automatic door had locked itself before the alarm went off, locking the two inside.
Haneul stood up, getting on her guard. "What's going on?"
Jeno took a look on the control panel but he couldn't get it open. Someone must've messed with their system. "We're locked in here."
"What?"
"I said—" he couldn't finish her sentence as Haneul had pushed him aside, their bodies fell to the ground almost immediately. The window was broken by a bullet shot from a few hundred meters away.
Haneul took a glimpse of the man who was bewildered by the situation, taking out the gun from her thigh holsters. She pushed the both of them to hide behind the sofa.
"General," she called, flashing him a smirk. "Just sit back and relax, I'll take care of this."
