"Before we get out, I need you to text your brother to call an ambulance." Haneul spoke as quiet as possible.

Jeno frowned. "What for?"

"Tell him it should be here in ten minutes, quickly."

Jeno sighed, following her orders. Just a few moments after that, the door had been blasted open, her gun immediately aimed at the chandelier above their heads.

The sound of a gun being shot, followed by the chandelier falling from the ceiling. There was nothing else but tension and rage, everything else did not seem to matter at the time.

Jeno of course had not failed to notice, hence he forcefully yanked his body away along with the Haneul, their bodies hitting the ground right beside the fallen chandelier.

"You fucking idiot! You could've got yourself killed, wait no—both of us!" Jeno exclaimed, earning a grumble from the young woman beside him. "Shut up,"

"Where the fuck is she?" Haneul questioned furiously, pointing her gun at the man.

The man, who was still on the ground, let out a miffed chuckle. The chandelier had fallen right on his back and if only she did not run on time, it would have covered his entire body by now.

Haneul immediately widened her eyes, turning around almost immediately. She held her gun in ready position, now coming face-to-face with the assassin who she was way to familiar with. She curved a cocky smile, raising an eyebrow at her. "Lee Jeno, eh?"

"Shut up Shin Seoyun. Are you doing this because Hyunjoo sent you or you're just fucking around?" Haneul grumbled, making the woman in front of her laugh. "Curious much. I believe you know better that I will not tell you,"

The man who was still on the ground, was surprisingly still alive. He had managed to reach his gun, aiming it right at Jeno's head. But being the observant man he was, he managed to shoot him right on his head without even looking back. He was after all, a soldier.

Seoyun looked at him with an impressed look. "Oh wow, you're quite skilled, General."

Haneul loaded her gun, now bringing it closer to her forehead. She was running out of patience and she despised wasting time. "You're just fucking around, are you? Does it ever occur to your little brain that I don't always have the time to play games?"

Seoyun seemed rather amused with her behaviour. She was indeed hired to kill her and keep Haneul under strict surveillance, but she never really received a clear order on when to kill her. Another thing about her was that she wasn't a private assassin, meaning anyone could hire her.

"Oh yeah, of course. But then again, who am I to catch up with that brain capability of yours huh? The so called prodigy, can't imagine that." Seoyun spat sarcastically.

Haneul knew that whoever sent Seoyun must have told her to strictly not kill Lee Jeno—they wanted to capture him. It has been proven by her behaviour, from all those years she had fought Seoyun, she knew when she wanted to kill and when she didn't.

But she needed Jeno alive, at least for now. At least until she could kill Hyunjoo with her own hands.

"I'll kill him." She spoke, earning a loud laugh from the girl in front of her. "You won't. You two have—"

She didn't even let Seoyun finish when she took out her other gun with her left hand, shooting Jeno right on his abdomen. The two were completely taken aback by her sudden action, breath hitching. Jeno held his abdomen in pain, groaning as he felt his body fall to the ground.

Seoyun turned to look at Haneul once more, seeing that her expressions were still the same. Composed and stern.

"You were saying?" She raised an eyebrow, knowing she had successfully shaken her up.

"Jung Haneul, you always have to have it your way do you?" Seoyun snickered.

Haneul smirked, shrugging her shoulders. "Of course, who do you think I am?"

With that, Seoyun turned her heels, leaving the two behind. As soon as she left, Haneul crouched down to check up on Jeno, only to find him pointing his gun at her.

Haneul rolled her eyes at him, giving him a miffed look. "I saved you, you should thank me."

She took out Jeno's outer suit, pressing his wound in order to stop more blood flowing. He let out a bitter chuckle, trying to repress the pain. "Fuck off. If there's anything, you almost killed me."

"Would you rather have her take you then?"

"What?" He asked, his mind not fully comprehending her words as he felt the sharp pain. "She's an assassin, someone hired her to take you. You won't come back in one piece if that happens, be grateful I only put a single bullet in you."

Jeno groaned, his sharp eyes glaring at her. It was indeed true that if she took him, he won't come back alive. But Haneul's way of saving him was rather peculiar, though it did work successfully.

"Is this why you asked me to call the ambulance?" He denounced, standing up slowly. She pressed his wound with her handkerchief, looking at him with an unreadable look. "Just shut your mouth, the ambulance is already here."

She was right, in just a few moments after that the doctors rushed in to take him. Fortunately for him, they came in just in time and he was taken to the hospital for further treatment.

Though Haneul did triumphantly planted a bullet in his abdomen, ironically she also did save his life.
