Diving away from the web aimed at him, Peter groans to himself when he nearly trips over the too-loose, cheaply made costume he'd chosen to wear as a joke.

Steadying himself, he glances up and frowns in confusion. Pointing across the room at another Spider-Man, he turns to confirm to himself that Miles is still standing where he'd last seen him, and flips back around with an affronted noise, still pointing at the new Spider.

The room is still for a moment, a calm before the storm and Tony sounds more unsteady than Peter has ever heard the man when he asks, "Pete? What the hell is happening?"

Peter takes everything in for another moment of silence before he sighs deeply and groans, "Ugh, I need a nap..."

Snapping back into business mode, Pete steps forward, placing himself between the unknown intruder and his friends.
"What is going on?" Placing his hands on his hips, he tips his head and moves closer to the newcomer, brushing past a few of Tony's non-combatant guests as they head instinctively for the nearest elevator. "You know this tech is proprietary, right? Where did you get..."
Before he can get too into his harangue, however, a weird silver version of one of Tony's suits steps out of a hallway and shoots a blast towards the nearest hero... Which happens to be Thor, knocking him back behind the bar. Suddenly, the room erupts into chaos.
Anyone who hasn't already fled starts to run for the stairs, with the exception of the Avengers. "Though," thinks Peter with loving exasperation, "I will eat my own mask if either May or M.J. have done the smart thing and left, stubborn as they are."

With Thor down, the rest of the Avengers dive for cover, 'Batman' grabbing Peter around the waist and tugging him over the back of the couch they'd been sitting on early in the evening.
Peering out, cautiously, Peter can see the two spies holding off the weird silver suit, and Cap trying to duke it out with the imposter Spidey, who seems to be holding his own, but not really making many moves to take Steve down.

Something about this fight just seems off but Peter can't put his finger on why, just yet.

A prod to the back of his neck pulls him back from his thoughts and he twitches his shoulders, slapping at Pool's hand where he was poking him through the gap where his costume ties closed.
"Quit it!" he snarks, shoving the anti-hero hard enough that he lands on his butt with a weird giggle. "Sometimes, I just don't even wanna know."
Rolling his eyes, Peter tries to analyze what he's missing about this "attack" but is distracted once again as a realistic looking (and smelling, gross!) zombie stumbles out of a nearby closet? What the heck!?
Wade squeals with glee and rolls to his feet, whipping out a batarang and chucking it haphazardly at the walking corpse.
Peter flinches and really really hopes that wasn't someone in a costume but has to jump up and scoot away as the still mobile monster reaches for him, seemingly unaffected by the metal sticking from its forehead.

Peter dives behind the bar and is startled when he shoulder-checks another Spider-Man, they both start to raise their fists, but Miles squeaks and drops his hands just as quickly. Peter lets out a heavy sigh and droops with relief next to him.
"Sh... should I go help?" Miles asks nervously, and Peter chuckles. They hadn't actually gotten to the 'training' portion of the mentoring yet, so that wasn't the best idea...

But while looking around Peter suddenly remembered something...

Didn't Thor land back here before the fight? Where did he go......?
