Chapter 42

Jordan's POV

I drove everyone to my favorite restaurant. I had already called reservations, so we sat down immediately.

"Hamburger." Bethany said, closing the menu without even reading it.

"Really? Boring!" Cierra said, playfully punching Beth's shoulder.

"I know, I know.. but whatever!"

"I'll have the soup of the day." Alice said.

"I think I'm getting the stir fry." I said. Then we waited for the waitress to take our order.

Once we had our food ordered, Alice's phone went off.

"It's Isaac." She said, then answered it.

Alice's POV

I wasn't expecting a call from Isaac. But I was SO happy to see his caller ID.

"Hey Isaac, what's up?"

"I just wanted to call and say I'm sorry. I'll come back home. Just please except that I love Kelly."

"Don't be sorry, Isaac. It was rude of us to not except that you love Kelly. It's.. just.. she is a bully and a prissy mean girl."

"She WAS Alice!"

"Okay, okay. I know. But I'm so so so happy your coming home! Are you going to be home tonight?"

"Yes, I plan on having Kelly sleep over."

"Oh okay.. where will she sleep?"

"Hmm.. I don't know. She can't sleep in my bed because I have a twin.. the couch is too small and you, Beth, and Cierra have twin beds.. she'll have to sleep with Jordan."

"Uh. No. She's not sleeping with my boyfriend."

There was a silence, like he didn't like me calling Jordan my boyfriend...

"Don't we have that air mattress?" He finally said.

"Yeah."

"We'll blow that up in my room for her."

"Okay."

"Well..bye."

"Bye.. and, Isaac?"

"What?"

"I love you."

"Stop."

"I do."

"....bye Al."

Isaac hung up, and I could tell that everyone else heard the conversation because they were all leaning in listening.

"HE'S COMING HOME!!" Cierra yelled. Then realized everyone was staring at us in the restaurant.

Our food came, then we all split the bill, and headed home to get ready for Isaac and Kelly.
