Tomorrow was the day we depart, and as usual, my mother made countless preparations. She hired seamstress, shoemakers, hairdressers, aestheticians to help beautify me.
For her, my sole purpose in entering the academy was to secure a husband instead of learning and landing a stable and honorable career.
I still haven't asked Elios what plans he was preparing for me to enter the top class. I haven't been asking him any other questions either ever since I asked him that question a month ago and he kicked me out.
I could never understand him even after all these years. I tried, but it's like there's always something that keeps him from being close to me or any mortal.
"Ari?"
I turned and saw Ella at my door, "Sorry I know I should've knocked, but I couldn't wait to give this to you." She handed me a golden ribbon with my name embroidered on it. "I know it's a bit late, but happy birthday."
I stared at the ribbon and it was embroidered with sunflowers all over my name. I stared at her and gave her a big hug, "Thank you, I love it! I'll wear it every day."
"I'm so glad!" She said, "I better head back to my room. You should get some sleep as well. We head out early tomorrow morning."
"Yeah, good night Elle," I said as she nodded and went out.
I looked at the ribbon and stared out the window. "Would it have killed him to wish me a happy birthday?" I sighed.

We finally arrived at the academy dorms. We got out of the carriage and went straight inside and was greeted by the dorm's headmistress; Madame Borja.
"Welcome to Solaris Dorms, I assumed you were already oriented on the way here?" We nodded. "Very well, here are your keys for your rooms and class schedule. Your first class will start later in the afternoon. It'd be wise not to be late."
We did as she instructed. It was a good thing that my room was right across from Ella's. I got into my room and proceeded to unpack. "You can come out now," I said, a small tiny bird went out of my bag. "Aisi."
Since it would be hard to communicate using magic since this place is on holy grounds, we decided that Aisi would be the best option to communicate.
"You can use this area to rest," I told him as I arranged a small makeshift bed space for him.
I glanced at my schedule and notice that there were some interesting classes like potion chemistry, fencing, and magic 101, but there were tons of useless courses for me to take. Like embroidery, etiquette, art, history, dancing lessons, etc.
Well, it's expected since I'm taking regular classes. I heard that the top class had advanced and more thrilling classes.
I looked at the time and noticed that it was almost time for class. I changed into my uniform and headed out with Ella to our first class, which was Embroidery.
Then I vaguely remembered that it was during the first day when Ella met the crown prince.
If I can recall correctly, it was after classes when Ella got lost in the forest. Prince Loren along with his trusted attendant Sir Thenn was ambushed and injured during training. In the effort to survive, they escaped to the forest but got separated, Sir Thenn was able to get help and captured the perpetrators but the crown prince was left unconscious in the forest where the innocent and lovely Ella found him and nursed him back to health with her healing powers
I need to make sure the two of them meet.

Surprisingly class ended earlier than expected.
