When Our Paths Cross (Modern Older Hiccup x Reader)

Chapter 11

Hiccup's POV

Today is the First Day of Spring Festival. Me and (y/n) are going with Zoey and Shawn.

"Hey are oyu done getting dressed?" I call out to (y/n) up stairs.

"Yea, coming." I hear. She comes downstairs and walks up too me.

"Ready?" I ask.

"Yes, let me feed (d/n) really quick though." She says running over to the dog food. I watch her every move. She moves with such grace and she doesn't even try. She walks back over to me.

"Okay lets go." She says.

Time Skip to the Park.

"Hey Zoey, Shawn, over here!" (y/n) yells. I see Zoey and Shawn in the distance. We start to walk closer until we are met face to face.

"Hey Shawn. Hey Zoey." I say waving.

"Hey guys. So what are we going to do first?" Zoey asks.

"Oh um, I don't actually know, lets just walk around and see what they have then we'll decide. Hows that?" (y/n) says.

We start to walk around the festival and notice all kinds of carnival games, food carts, and some little entertainment shows. We stop to look around when I noticed a big Great Dane Stuffed animal and I think (y/n) noticed it too and her eyes went wide. I walk over to the carnival game with (y/n)'s hand in mine. It was the balloon game.

"I'd like to have 9 darts please." I say handing $15 dollars to the host. He gave me the darts. I was really good at this game so it should be a breeze. I take the first dart and with the flick of my wrist smash a blue balloon. 2, the 3 , then 4, then 5, then 6, then 7, then 8, then the last dart came to play. I threw it and too my suprise it curved and popped 2 balloons at the same time.

"Wow, nice man. Here ya go. One stuffed Great dane." the host says and hands me the toy dog. I say thank you and hand it (y/n).

"Thank you Hiccup. I can't wait to see the look on (d/n) little doggy face when she sees this." She says smiling like a 5 year old. She can ust be so darn adorable sometimes.

Your POV

I smiled at Hiccup, and could feel my face burning up. We may be dating, but I still get a little nervous. He is just so sweet i can't help, but blush. We find Zoey and Shawn at a shoot out game. When we walk, up behind them Zoey won.

"AW YEA BABY, I WIN." She shouts.

"Okay okay you win, I lose." Shawn says putting up his hands in surrender. The host hands Zoey a little trophy.

"Aw come on man, you just got beat by a girl." Hiccup says.

"Oh what's that suppose to mean?" I say.

"That he should have beaten her." He says smirking.

"Oh do I hear a challenge pretty boy. Me and Zoey againest you and Shawn." I say smirkin back.

"OH, YOUR ON!" Both the boys say. We pay for the game and let the challenge begin.

Time Skip.

"YES WE WIN!" Me and Zoey both shout.

"So how's it feel getting beat by a girl, mmm, Hiccup?" I say smirking at him. The Host hands me and Zoey a small trophy. We all walk away from the small game and go find something to eat.

"Anyone feeling like getting a funnel cake?" I ask. Everyone nods and me and Zoey wait in line while the boys go and wait on bench for us.

"Today as been so much fun so far." I say after ordering mine and hiccup's funnel cake and drinks.

"Yea I know. Especially when we beat the boys at the shoot out."She says giggling after ordering her order. Are orders arrive and we walk back over to the boys. We sit down and eat at a little picnic table.

"There is one more thing we want to show you guys before it gets dark okay." Hiccup says.

"We?" I ask.

"Me and Shawn planned this out, because we decided not to tell you guys about the suprise." Hiccup says.

"What suprise?" Zoey asks.

"Now it wouldn't be a suprise if we told you now would it." Shawn says. We get done eating and we throw our trash away. The boys lead us to this pathway thats cover in cherry blossom trees. There was a pinic blanket and a basket laying at the end. We all walk over to eat and start to eat all the little snacks that was layed out or us. We all started to talk about all kinds of weird stuff or about work, or clubs, etc.

TimeSkip

"Well we have to go, are you guys sure you can get this stuff, all picked up, we can take care of it if you want?" Shawn asks.

"It's fine Shawn. You and Zoey can go on home. We'll be fine." Hiccup says.

"Okay, we'll see you around then." Zoey says. We say our goodbyes and its just me and Hiccup. Its the afternoon and the sun is setting. I'm laying on Hiccup's lap just looking at the stars.

"I had so much fun today. It was such a beauitful too. I love this pathway full of cherry blossoms." I say.

"I knew you would." He says. He leans down and kisses me on my head. I start to sit up and gice him and kiss on his head too. And we just sit there staring at each other. Then he leans in with his hands cuping my face and kissing me. In one swift movement, he brought me closer. I realize that I was straddling him, but I didn't care. As long as I was in his arms, I felt loved and protected. We break for a breathe.

"I love you so much. I'll always be there for you (y/n)." He whispers.

"I love you too Hiccup. I'll always be there for you as well." I whisper back. We kiss again under the starts and cherry blossoms.

Today was the best so far.

Sorry everyone for not updating for awhile. I've had so many softball games lately and haven't been getting home till it was almost 12. So I hoped you liked this chapter and still have faith in me.
