The Big Sleepover

And we're back! What would happen if all the newsies had a giant sleepover at the Lodging House? The Newsies Pringles (you know, the professional headcanoners) went to work again, and this is the result.

For the first time in forever, Mr. Kloppman has to leave the Lodging House for more than a couple of hours. This time he's leaving for more than a day.

Crutchie, Race and Elmer decide that this means that there has to be a giant sleepover for all the newsies.

On Elmer's demand, all of them have to be there, or it can't happen.

It takes some time and effort to get everyone to be able to be there.

Buttons has to get out of babysitting his younger siblings.

Sniper has some trouble escaping his father.

JoJo has to convince the nuns to let them go.

But finally, everyone's available!

Everyone starts showing up to the Lodging House at around 3 pm.

Tommy Boy brings his dog, Chuck. This makes the new dog happy.

The new dog doesn't have a name yet. They're debating names, and calling her The Dog, in the meantime.

While everyone drops in, they play Mario Kart.

Race hogs one of the controllers, and only plays as Yoshi.

He's not that good at the game.

Crutchie plays as Toad.

He ain't good either.

When Spot shows up, he immediately starts crushing them all big time. And he's never played before!

Henry and JoJo sit beside the gang, watching, because they don't know how to play.

JoJo's doing some kind of commentary.

"And Spot's in first with how much? Ten? Twenty feet?"

When Davey finally shows up, he's forced to play instantly. He has no idea what he's doing, and ends up driving the wrong way.

"Davey the horrible driver Jacobs is going the wrong way! How does that even happen?" JoJo teases.

When Crutchie plays again, he also goes in the wrong direction.

"Awww, Crutchie! You're going the wrong way! How cute, he doesn't know the controls!" is JoJo's commentary.

Smalls and Sniper show up, and Smalls steals the controller from Spot.

She plays as Princess Peach, because of two reasons.

1: She's like the only girl.

2: Sniper insists that she's a princess.

Smalls goes along with it, but complains that Peach is too pink.

She wins.

Albert says it's because of the controller, because both major winners used the same one.

Smalls and Albert switch controllers for the next race.

Albert loses spectacularly.

Buttons shows up last, and is cranky that they turned off Mario Kart the second everyone was present.

But now it's Movie Time instead!

Mush wants to watch a romantic movie.

Crutchie agrees and suggests Titanic.
