Wren's POV
"Tonight?", I asked. I had just told Cameron that I was leaving 2 weeks early. We had been desperately counting on those 2 weeks to create the perfect end to our (for lack of a better term) summer romance.
"Yes. All night and all day. That gives us a whole 24 hours", he said. "We have been preparing to say goodbye all summer, Wren. It's only a matter of speeding up the process."
"What's your point?"
"We go out tonight. All night", he said. "Let's use every minute we have."
"Ok", I said. "Beach in 10 minutes?"
"Yes."

The beach was completely empty as it was now 11:30 at night. I turned to see Cameron walking towards me. I ran and hugged im with everything I had.
"I'm sorry", I whispered.
"It's not your fault", he said as he gently pushed the stray hair around my face aside.
"So what are we doing tonight?", I asked. "Nothing is open at this time."
"There are a few places", he said as he winked and grabbed my hand.
We walked for 20 minutes, hand in hand, laughing and acting like this wasn't our last date ever. We finally came to a place that I'd never seen before. A bowling alley.
"Welcome to the only 24 hour bowling alley in LA."
"Awesome", I muttered as we made our way inside. It was just like any other bowling alley only it was open in the middle of the night. It was almost empty except for a few late night partiers and kids who couldn't find any other suitable place to get drunk. Tonight, it didn't matter though. Tonight was about me and Cameron and no one else.
"Cam, I'm an awful bowler", I said as I tied the frayed laces of my borrowed bowling shoes.
"I suck too", he said as he picked up the first bowling ball. He stepped forward in a fake dramatic stance and threw the ball. Gutter. "See?", he said as he laughed at his own failure.
I sighed. My turn now. I stood up and chose a shiny pink bowling ball. Maybe I wasn't ready, but I stumbled under the weight. It didn't help that the floor was extra slippery under the bowling shoes. So naturally, I slipped. I was waiting to feel the impact of the floor, but I never did. Cam caught my elbow and guided me to the lane.
"They aren't that heavy", he said jokingly. "Here, let me help you." He stood behind me and put both arms around me. His hands rested on mine that were clutching the ball. I could feel his warm breath on the side of my face as we stepped forward together. We managed to decently throw the ball and watched it travel down the lane... Strike!
I screamed with excitement as Cameron wrapped his arms around my waist.
"Thank you", I said as I twisted around to face him. "Although, I don't know how such a crappy bowler could help me so effectively."
He laughed. "I guess you just make me better."
