As John was entering house, he heard scream. Rushed upstairs straight away as he heard the sounds.

„NO! Brian please don't DON'T DON'T fire me, I will proceed working on that case again!!" Paul was yelling from his sleep.

John entered the room they shared and found Paul shivering and being all sweaty, he could even spot the dried tears he had plastered on his cheeks after they had brimmed out of his eyes.

„NO!" Paul shouted anguishly, John instantly walked close to him and put his hand on Paul's forhead. The night-haired boy strainly opened his eyes and stared up at the figure.

„John" he said breathlessly. Inhaled and exhaled slowly with mouth open.

„I am here Paul. What happend?" With that, he hugged Paul tigthly.

They felt their hearts beating againts eachother's chests.

„I- I just had a bad dream." The younger boy sobbed into John's shoulder. „I am so scared about losing my job. Brian, my principal had fired my friend Dussel. Our detective partnership had been very proficient and nice. And I- I- am so scared that he will fire me too, since it has been hard for me to accept that we are no longer partners. I am losing my job John, I really am. I am working on the serial killer case now and I haven't spotted anything so far. He said that if I don't find him." Paul's voice cracked. „He will fire me too. And I- I don't know what to do I am homeless John. I dont know how long I can even stay here with you." As he finished talking with his anguished voice, he cluched onto John tighter.

John's thoughts were now racing and he was feeling slightly uncomfortable. If Paul just knew that the serial killer is the man he is touching right now, it's the man he probably likes, it's the man who offered him his house to stay in. With this one thought he freezed. 'The serial killer is the man he probably least expected that it would be.' John started feling his very known stomach tender again. 'What the actual fuck am I going to fucking do now? If only he knew. Shit he couldn't even think about that. Paul would hate him, if not worse. He would leave him. Like everybody else did. He would not want to see John's face ever again. John loved that boy, he truly did. He would never let him go, not now since he has got the chance to get know him. He is not leaving, he just won't. Everybody had left John, at least he felt like everybody did.

After a while John answered. „Paul you can stay here as long as you wish." Hint of confusion mixed with uncomfortableness echoed in his voice tone.

Paul moved his hands on John's shoulders and pulled himself out of the auburn-haired boy's embrace just to look into his eyes and say.

„Thank you John."

Paul didn't have a nightmare again since that one night. What they did everyday was just honestly talking with eachother about everything. Spending time in the house and resting for a few days. As they were getting to know each other more and more, John's concern of Paul finding out was growing, hurting even more as he talked with the doe-eyed boy. But he had to find out somehow. If not now, he will later. John knew it deep down that he will observe about it. As John was worring with his stuff Paul was dwelling on more and more about his job. He was a Detective McCartney and job as detective was his dream since he was very little. The thought of depriving it made him very nervous but at least he had John who was a sweetheart and always made him tea and tried to help him, sometimes just saying some stupid joke to make Paul's cheeks pull to a smile. He didn't know what would be happening now if he didn't meet John, he was thinking about that alot. But he was greatful for John, oh my god very very grateful for John. The auburn-haired boy always wanted the best for Paul and always wanted Paul to be happy. Paul knew that very well and found it so adorable. Also a small bewildered thought was scratching his brain. 'Why is John actually so excruciating everytime when I talk about my job? Maybe because he probably doesn't have one and he doesn't know how to reply?' Paul shook his head. 'Nah, it's probably nothing.' Spending these days together made them grow so much closer. They both never felt more congenial with someone else before.
