After a few minutes, I ended up pushing Y/n off of me while gently removing my arm from underneath Koda. He perked his head up and stood up as Y/n dramatically rolled off me and sprawled out her arms and legs on the floor.

I stood up and held out my hand for her to take so I could help her up. She took my hand and I pulled her to her feet.

"We should go to the park!" She exclaimed.

Koda looked up and tilted his head.

"You wanna go to the park, buddy?" I asked him.

He barked in response.

"Let's go to the park, then!" Y/n shouted.

I smiled and grabbed my keys, making sure Y/n didn't see me grab the necklace as well. Y/n grabbed a few toys and attached Koda's leash to his collar before following me out of the building. We got into the car and Koda stuck his head out of the window.

We arrived at the park a few minutes later and got out. I helped Y/n by grabbing her bag for her and grabbing Koda so she could get out of the car without him running away. The park wasn't too busy. There were a few kids playing on the slides and swings, and a few elderly people walking around the track of the park, enjoying the scenery.

We walked over to the grassy field area and I let him go, removing his leash and throwing a tennis ball for him to run after. He chased after the ball as Y/n walked up behind me with a wide smile.

"Koda! Bring the ball back!" She laughed.

Koda just laid down in the grass and chewed on the ball. Y/n ran over and scratched his head, distracting him so she could take the ball from him. She took the ball and ran in my direction. Koda chased after her.

"Koda, get her!" I exclaimed.

I ran in front of Y/n and caught her with my arm, hooking it across her stomach and around her side. She let out a small squeal as I pulled her to me, both of us falling backwards in the process. She landed with her back to my chest. Our laughter mixed and Koda ran over with his ball, dropping the saliva covered ball onto my neck.

Y/n rolled over and grabbed the ball, throwing it again as I wiped my neck off. She sat up, as did I. She watched Koda run around with the ball with a wide smile stretching across her face. I watched her for a second before speaking.

"It's nice seeing you happy again." I spoke.

She directed her gaze away from Koda and back to me with a slight blush on her cheeks. I returned a smile, my gaze accidentally traveling to her lips and back up to her eyes. I could have swore I saw her face moving closer to mine but Koda ran over and rammed his head into my arm.

I laughed and looked to him, grabbing his ball and throwing it again. He chased after it as I stood up and helped Y/n up with me. An old elderly woman approached us as we walked over to where Koda was.

"I just wanted to say, you two make a really cute couple." She spoke, a small smile on her lips.

"Hm? Oh, we aren't dating." I responded, clearing my throat.

I wish we were. But we aren't. Maybe I should stop chickening out and actually ask her. Maybe I could ask her right now. I mean, I brought the necklace and all. What the hell am I thinking? I bring the necklace everytime I go somewhere with Y/n.

"Well, you should. You guys are very cute together." The old woman smiled again.

I laughed slightly along with Y/n.

"You kids have a nice day."

"Thanks, you too." Y/n spoke as the woman walked away and rejoined her husband on the sidewalk.

I rubbed the back of my neck awkwardly as we continued to walk.

"I...umm...I have something for you." I informed, stopping and reaching into the pocket of my jacket.

I pulled out the bag that the necklace was in and handed it to her.

"What's this?" She asked, taking the bag from me and opening it.

"Mr. Stark helped me make it. It has a tracker in it as well, just incase something happens."

She pulled out the necklace and sat the bag down on the ground beside her feet before holding up the necklace to look at it. It had a gold chain and a (y/f/f) pendant hanging from it which had a small diamond resting in the center of it.

"Aww, thank you, Peter! It's beautiful!" She smiled.

I took the necklace from her hands and unclasped the chain. She pushed her hair away from her neck as I fastened it around it. She turned around and smiled again. I returned the smile.

Now's your chance, Peter. Ask her!

"Do-Do you maybe wanna go see a movie or something with me?" I asked nervously.

"Like a date?" She asked.

"Yes...No...Yes...Maybe...I mean, if you want to. You don't have to if you don't want to." I rambled.

"I want to."

"Really?"

"Yes, Peter." She laughed.

"Okay." I breathed out awkwardly.

"When?" She asked.

"We kinda see each other everyday, usually all day, so I guess anytime works, really." I thought for a moment. "What about tonight, around seven?"

"It's a date."

It's a date.

Koda came running up and barked at us before pawing at my leg. I attached his leash to his collar and held onto the end of the leash as we resumed walking.
