''You guys need her.'' Luke said, shocked over what he had just heard, even I was shocked. Why on earth would they want me? "Hell no.'' Luke went on.

''Why?'' Alec asked, frustrated.

''I won't let you guys use my grand-daughter...again.'' Luke said dangerously.

"I'm sure she can decide for herself.'' Cam said.

''She's also a Protector and she should already start on her training.'' Daniel said.

''She will never accept it, not after you guys had planned to kill her.'' Luke said. "And I won't let that happen again.''

''You can't decide for her.'' Alec said. "Where's she? I know she's here.''

''Spying on her. Again.'' Luke said with so much bitter and hatred. Alec was silent.

''You do realize that the world is in danger, she's in danger.'' Daniel said slowly.

''I'm sure the PROTECTORS can PROTECT the world and I will PROTECT my grand-daughter.''

''You don't understand.'' Daniel said. "She's our weapon.''

''She's NOT your WEAPON." Luke said angrily. I could tell that a rage of fury was going through him.

''Sorry, you know what I meant.'' Daniel said, defending himself. ''She's our only hope.''

Luke started laughing. ''Since when do Protectors need help from a Mind-Wisher?''

''She's not just a Mind-Wisher and she's not a normal one either.'' Cam said. "And that's why we need her, she's the weapon that we need to survive for what's coming.''

"Oh, I get it now.'' Luke said and they sighed in relief. "You guys only want her because she's a survival weapon.''

I could not take it anymore; them talking about me, I didn't know half of what they were saying; what was coming, me being a survival weapon.

I slid out of my spot and came face to face to my betrayal ex-boyfriend...Alec.

''Hey there.'' He said. "It's really nice to see you.''

''And it's really NOT nice for me to see you.'' I said grimly.

''Hey, Annabelle.'' Luke said, smiling. He tried to hide his facial expressions.

''So, you guys were talking about me.'' I said.

''No.'' Luke said.

''Yes.'' Cam, Daniel, and Alec all said.

''We were talking about you.'' Alec said. "So, Annabelle, would you like to work on our side."

''Why would I work on your side when YOU almost killed ME." I said, looking straight at Alec.

''That is a VERY good question.'' Alec said.

''I know, that's why I asked.'' I said, smiling. A dangerous smile.

''Just listen to what we have to say.'' Alec said. I looked at him with my eyebrows raised. ''Please.''

''Okay, tell me.'' I said.

''Well, we need you.'' Alec said.

''For what?'' I asked, even though I knew why.

''Because of who you are.''

''Why would you guys need help from a Mind-Wisher?''

''You're not just a Mind-Wisher and you are not a normal one either.''
