Oh, she again

Something was licking my face, when I opened my eyes, it was Belle. I looked at the clock, it was six twenty-five, it was time to wake up. I took a bath, got dressed, ate breakfast, I made sure to check if Belle had water. Before I went to school, I gave her breakfast. Josh came by and dropped Charmant. Belle would now have company.

I was giving Josh a ride.

''Hey, Friday will be our eleven years of being best friends.'' Josh said.

''Right.''

''Why don't we go to the movies and other places.'' He said. I could not stop laughing.

''Why are you laughing?''

''Because no one does that'' I said.

''What?''

''No one celebrates their best-friendship years except for us.''

''Yeah, we are weird.'' He said. By then, we were in the school's parking lot. I looked at him, our eyes met, I didn't know for how long.

''In a good way.'' I said. We got out of the car at the same time. When we were inside the school building__

''Josh!!'' It was Erika. She came toward us.

''So, are you busy on Friday after school?''

''Yes.'' I responded for Josh. ''We already have plans.''

''Oh, really?'' Erika asked.

''Yeah, sorry.'' Josh said. ''Maybe we__'' I took him by the wrist and dragged him away from Erika.

I kinda expected him to say 'what was that about?' but instead, he said.

''Someone's jealous.''

''I'm not.'' I lied.

''Okay, whatever you say.'' He mocked me. I pushed him a little playfully, he started laughing at me and I started laughing at him.

''What are you guys laughing about?'' Dylan asked.

''Actually, now you've asked that, I have no idea.'' Josh said.

''He started laughing at me and I, at him.'' I said, smiling.

''Okay.'' He said. ''Well I have to go to the library, I'm late on my assignment.''

"Okay.'' Josh and I said.

''Well, maybe we could do childish things like we used to do when we were kids.'' I suggested.

''Yeah, totally.'' Josh said.

''Where's Ivy?'' I asked at lunch. I haven't seen Ivy all day.

''She's at her dad's house.'' Dylan said. ''She'll be here tomorrow.''

''Oh.'' I said. ''So, I'm gonna be here with you boys.''

''Don't be uncomfortable with us.'' Spencer said. I nodded.

At art, Mr. Wave was back. The students weren't really happy about it, but I didn't care.

When I was in drama, I noticed Erika was extremely happy and Mrs. Jensen was mad.

''Class, I have to tell you something.'' She announced. We all were confused except for Erika. Mrs. Jensen glanced at Erika and Erika just smiled. ''The Romeo and Juliet act is over.''

''What?'' Everyone in class murmured except for Erika.

''Why?'' I asked.

''I had a talk with the principal and yeah. Sorry, guys.'' She was sorry.

''Arrgh.'' I gasped angrily, it was obvious that Erika was behind this, I was so close, so close. Josh was about to be my Romeo and Erika ruined it. I looked over at Josh, he was just pale, he was sad, did he also know that Erika had something to do with this? He looked up at me and I looked away.

''Are you crying?''Josh asked me. I wiped a tear away.

''No.'' I lied. ''My eyes are just tired.'' Actually, I was in love with Josh and he didn't know that. Just like he was in love with me and I hadn't known...and then I had a chance to kiss him, but Erika got in the way.

''Look, don't worry.'' Ivy said. I looked at her. ''I have a plan.''

''Oh, Ivy has a plan.'' I said in disappointment.

''Look, Erika just always gets what she wants.'' Spencer said.

''Not next time.'' I said, grinning.
