Chapter 19
Scribbles

"You must be Wooyoung and you..are Jongho, right?" Ken's procelain face was enough for Jongho and Wooyoung to continue staring for a while as they swore he looked like a walking statue. He wasn't so tall but average, blonde locks extending into a fair mullet and bangs parted to show a small part of his forehead. Even in all this dark it felt like Ken radiated a different light through him as he looked fully visible.

Extending his right hand and tilting his head into what seemed welcome, Ken smiled softly. "I know you are here for me." Jongho and Wooyoung stared at each other in confusion before Jongho stuttered out softly. "H-How do you know our names and why we are here?" Eyes trying to look as daringly as he can, Jongho looked at Ken. Ken didn't seem fazed though, his eyes just sparkled into what seemed amusement before he stuffed his hand into his leather jacket scrunching up his nose and mumbling.

"It's cold out here let's go inside first." Jongho gave Ken a weird look almost stating —Really? All in all he couldn't really deny him though as he and Wooyoung followed the other around.  After walking a few steps Ken stopped resulting in Wooyoung to bump his head against Jongho's back but he was stronger and held himself in control. Jongho saw Ken snap his fingers before he felt something grab onto him and he yelped hearing a loud shriek follow behind from Wooyoung.

Landing on his back against a hard floor, Jongho winced but not much compared to Wooyoung who literally shouted his lungs out. "Sorry I forgot to tell you to hold yourself." The same deep voice from before followed before Jongho opened his eyes to close them again at the light's intensity. Slowly he opened them again when he saw the other standing there calmly, smiling. There was another man behind him who stood as stern faced as a stone, kind of intimidating aura excuding him. Then he looked around and realised how they were now at a totally different place compared to before. They were inside what seemed to big enough of a house to be termed a 'mansion'.

Jongho saw Ken smile softly before motioning the tall man behind to do something when he saw him extend an arm to Wooyoung. Another hand which belonged to Ken himself was welcoming him. Jongho stared at it even after Wooyoung already got up with other man's help. "What are you staring at, huh? Are you scared of me?" Ken smirked at Jongho. For some reason Ken didn't give Jongho really great vibes. It was as if he was annoying or just not a good invitation.

"Scared? Of you? Sorry I don't have time for that." Jongho huffed swatting Ken's sleeve away and getting up himself. Ken made a pouting face but decided not to comment further. "So how do you know about us?" Jongho demanded staring at how Wooyoung looked curious too. Ken just shrugged. "I just know everything. That's all not much in it." Ken replied nonchalantly before Wooyoung spoke up. "So...you really are Ken?" Ken turned towards Wooyoung before his lips curled up more into a big laughter.

"HAHAHAH I'm not Ken that's not my real name!" Both Wooyoung and Jongho raised their eyebrows at that in curiousity. "What's your real name then?" Wooyoung asked. That's when Ken's expression turned a little serious as he mumbled softly. "Didn't mean I'll tell my real name. Come on aren't you here to save your friend San?" Ken turned around and started walking upstairs without giving them a look when the tall man beside Ken earlier motioned them to follow him.

"Wooyoung this guy is really weird. I am not feeling really well about all this." Jongho muttered softly to Wooyoung while ascending the stairs.  "Jongho trust me he will be helpful." Wooyoung mutters back confidently. Jongho made a face at that. "You know what Wooyoung, the punishment San got was also your plan so I really am not so sure how can you still be so confident in your words." Jongho saw Wooyoung frown at that. "I'm still trying to help you know...." Jongho immediately regrets his words as he watches Ken go inside a room.

They follow behind and stop in front of the closed door. "I'm sorry Wooyoung I know you are trying to help I just.....don't know he doesn't really....you know what let's forget I said something maybe I'm just thinking too much." Jongho shrugged while Wooyoung eyed him slightly worried before they opened the door softly and went inside. The room was much more less illuminated with light compared to before as they saw Ken standing in front of a shelf containing alot of bottles. In fact the majority of the room was filled with shelves and bottles only.

The centre of the room had a mahogany desk, it's top decorated with different sized bottles too and a few papers. "So...this mister who doesn't trust me seems interested in my work place huh?" Jongho hears Ken muttering with a smirk as he finds himself getting caught staring at the room. Not going to lie he did feel interested in it.

Suddenly Jongho realized what the other actually said. Eyes widening, Jongho shot his head towards the procelain featured seeing an evident smirk up his face. "I told you I know everything." Jongho huffed before Wooyoung mumbled. "Well since you already know everything, we want you to help us please we don't have enough-" "1 week. I know it. But I must say you guys came quite late, Seonghwa must have already gotten on his work." Ken shook his head while going back to the shelf to shuffle through stuff.

"What do you mean already gotten on work?!" Wooyoung widened his eyes while nodding along to Jongho's interrogation. Ken didn't seem to be as much of an emotionally fazed person as he replied with a soft smile yet again. "You think the demon will go like 'oh! They should rest for today I'll start tomorrow.'." Ken answered while pulling out a scroll from the mouth of a glass bottle. It was a fine example of paper aged with time. It's skin decorated with cuts from the corners to dark marks of dirt on it.

Wooyoung hears the clicking of Ken's shoes over the hardwood floor as he stalks his way towards the mahogany desk, his hand working to spread the paper scroll over it. Using a few weights to hold its edges together, Ken looks up through his blonde bangs covering one of his eyes towards his two guests as if inviting them to come along. Wooyoung blinks his eyes at the eye contact nodding continuously as if nervous before he looks at Jongho, both of them making there way towards the desk where Ken was standing.

As they reached nearer to it, Jongho and Wooyoung could make out some scribbles onto the paper along with a picture of someone. Jongho was about to question who it was when Wooyoung cut him off into asking the same thing. "Is this.....h-him?" Ken raised his head towards Wooyoung with impressed eyes. "Quite intellectual for such a dumb looking face." Smirking and getting back to staring at the paper, he could hear Wooyoung huffing but not saying anything in return.

"What do those scribbles below mean though?" It was now Jongho asking curiously. Ken nodded his head silently before standing up straight and looking at Jongho. "It's his name." Ken replied scanning his eyes through the picture of a long haired male in a long red traditional robe, his long hair tied into a beautiful ponytail swaying along with the wind. "Park Seonghwa, a well known musical artist of his time. He was really fond of music, in fact it was said that he never fell in love with anyone. His first and last love was music." As Ken stopped Jongho pursed his lips into thinking until he realised something.

"But...he says he loves hyung.…."

Just how much I already am hating my writing style in this book and yet I have the guts to think of a sequel. Someone can guess if it's a sequel who will be the main characters? Lemme know in the comments if you do;)
