Donotyr was eager for his knighting ceremony, motivated by the advice that Vinith had given to him last night. He was neatly dressed in his cadet uniform, which was entirely draped in black with some shades of gray, from his vest to his boots, and his long brown hair was held back.
Although he was a bit nervous about the ceremony, he still was anticipating it, knowing that as an official ranger, he will protect the planet from the Ignominies, the criminals that may once have control over him.
The knighting ceremony was taking place in the assembly room of the organization's administrators.
"Good day to everyone, ladies, and gentlemen," Fugmius addressed everyone in the room, which included other cadets and official rangers. "Today, we will witness the knighting of-"
He was suddenly interrupted as an assassin came from backstage and shot him in the head. Fugmius immediately fell to the ground as soon as his head got hit by the blaster shot.
"Lord Fugmius!" Donotyr hurriedly climbed up the stage to help his mentor as he was falling into the ground. "A...a-are you alright?"
Deng immediately ran to the stage to chase the assassin to bring him to justice for Fugmius' assassination, but the assassin quickly escaped his attempted arrest backstage.
Zena, sensing that Deng was worried that he never caught the assassin, came to his aid to comfort and reassure him.
"H-have you located the assassin and w-w-what does he look like?" Zena asked Deng.
"No, Zen, but he had gotten away. The assassin had blue skin and the same menacing red eyes and his face was covered with a black mask. H-h-he was the assassin we saw last night."
"It doesn't matter, Deng. He will be held accountable for what he did to Fugmius, in one way or another. We also don't know who ordered him to shoot Fugmius or if he did this out of his free will.
"Zen, it may have been an administrator who gave him entry into our headquarters and the order to kill Fugmius, because, well, the Ignominies can't just easily enter the building. "
"Deng, we can't be sure who it is among them. They all seem to be decent, especially Azotha who is very generous to us, especially to Donotyr."
Meanwhile, Donotyr was cradling Fugmius in his lap while the latter held his hand. Donotyr sadly watched his mentor ebb away and that there was nothing he could do to restore Fugmius to his former strength.
"L-Lord Fugmius... I am sorry that this didn't go exactly as planned... Please forgive me- please.." Donotyr mentioned as he tears up.
"It's okay, Donotyr," Fugmius muttered. "At least you have more time to learn."
"Lord Fugmius? F- Fugmius? Please hang on... PLEASE HELP! GET HELP!" Donotyr screamed.
"It's alright... I'll always be with you- learn.. from this, you're stronger than this.."
Fugmius then let go of Donotyr's touch as his hand fell to the floor.
"F- Fugmius?- breathe please.. don't just go... Please don't leave me... HELP! Fugmius..." he replied before screaming and wailing.
