Vinith and Deng's investigation had been making little progress as Azotha, the cadets, and the roaming assassins were difficult to find.

Deng, Vinith, and Mana unsuccessfully tried to find Azotha for her to help them solve the issue by searching for her in every room that they could think of but to no avail.

They were about to give up on trying to figure out the mysterious killer until a thought struck Vinith's mind. The assembly room. This was one of the most important rooms in the building where important events like the appointment of new leaders and knighting ceremonies were held.

Deng, Vinith, and Mana sneakily entered the assembly room and inspected it. There, they saw Azotha and several masked individuals holding a meeting.

Azotha must be responsible for Fugmius' death, Deng thought. The masked individuals that were with Azotha were all dressed in dark red robes, dark blue shoulder wear, and black masks that covered their noses and mouths.

"They must be Ignominy assassins, I think," Deng said to Vinith as she was hastily taking notes on her notepad about the most important details of the case.

"If so...Then you must be telling the truth all along that Azotha was working for the Ignominies after all."

"But the question is who among these assassins was responsible for the deaths of Fugmius and that one ranger we saw earlier," Deng responded.

"Well, we do not know," Vinith answered. "They all dress the same. But we must summon Zena and Donotyr here later so we can have a group meeting."

"The assassination of Fugmius was successful," a Chiss assassin reported to Azotha.

"Good, Timaoth," Azotha replied to the assassin, whose name was Timaoth. "As gratitude, I shall choose you as my protector," Azotha said to the assassin.

These words shocked both Deng and Vinith as they were recording the whole meeting using Vinith's recorder.

While Zorrick Maros, the Zeltron assistant who served under the leadership of Fugmius and Azotha, who was currently in the meeting, resigned from being one of Azotha's assistants as he stormed off the assembly room upon hearing the part that Azotha played on Fugmius' assassination.

How can Azotha, the assistant of Fugmius himself, commend such a crime? She was the mastermind the whole time and Donotyr's knighting ceremony was all but a sham and she was plotting the death of her boss the whole time...

Deng thought as he overheard Azotha's conversation with Timaoth.

He was mortified by the revelation that Azotha was indeed working with the Ignominies by having Fugmius killed, and instantly contacted Zena.
