Electricity radiates across my body, jolting me awake and my hands reach to the collar, attempting to pull it off. The electricity seems to intensify, and I lose the ability to control my muscles. Everything seems to freeze, leaving my jaw clenched, my eyes wide, and my lungs gaping.
My vision goes black when the pain finally stops and I gasp, rolling off the bed to my hands and knees, but my arms give out and I fall onto my side, panting.
"That was a very stupid move, Y/N. You have proven that you cannot be trusted, not until you are compliant. The more you struggle the longer this process will be, and the more it will hurt for you," I hear Doctor Hof's voice through the darkness of the room.
"I won't be compliant. You're going to have to kill me," I mutter, trying to get my breath back.
"That would be a waste... I'm sure you're familiar with the efficiency of electroshock therapy."
My brain sizzles as the collar sends electricity throughout my body once again.
"Fuck you," I grind out.
"You will learn. Whether we have to completely wipe your brain or not."
"Fuck. You."
"You belong to us."
I don't.
"You will fight for us."
No, I won't.
"You will learn to be complaint."
No.
I can't understand what she says anymore. The ringing in my ears is too loud. And my throat is too raw to speak.
Why does my throat hurt?
I realize the ringing is screaming.
I'm screaming.
"You belong to us."
The pain stops, but my body still feels like it hums with electricity.
I pant and push my temple to the cool floor before everything fades away.
