i think your jealous

Hi everyone before I get into the oneshot I just want to say thank you for 200 views. All your support has been such a confidence booster for me. I'm also just glad that some people actually read what I write. Just thank you all so much.

This is an au where neils dad didn't show up so Todd is able to see Neil.

Hands smacking together and roaring cheers filled the auditorium as the characters stepped out for their final bow. Todd cheered as the supporting cast trickled out little by little saving the best for last.

Finally Neil appeared and Todd channeled all of his energy into supporting Neil. As his roommate stepped out onto that stage he could tell in his eyes that he is genuinely happy. The rest of the cast pushed him to the front so they could bow one last time together. As Neil came to an upright position, Todd swears they made eye contact just for a split second, but even that second made Todd's smile double in size. The cast swoops Neil into a giant hug but one girl, which Todd notices is the other lead Hermia, (that's the characters name in a midsummer night's dream) gets a little too friendly planting a kiss on Neil's cheek. Finally the curtain closes and the crowd calms down.

Todd's body is flaming. Did that girl just kiss Neil? Are they together? They can't be can they? Why has Neil not told me about her? In the end Todd just decides he's upset that Neil didn't tell him about this important relationship. That's the only reasonable explanation for all of this.

"Is everything ok Toddy" Charlie asks as the crowd has thinned out. As he says this Todd realizes that he hadn't said a word since the play ended.

"Oh, yeah." Todd said unconvincingly.

"Now we both know that's not true. Come talk to Nuwanda"

"Fine but only you never say that again"

"No promises" Charlie teases

"Do you know if Neil's dating that girl who played hermia?"

"Ummm I'm not sure. He hasn't said anything to me about it."

"I'm just upset that he didn't tell me, that's all. I thought we were friends, we live together for crying out loud. And honestly he could do so much better than some snobbish theater chick. Like there are so many other girls and he chooses her. My brother actually goes to school with her sister and-"

"I'm gonna stop you right there Anderson. Keep this up and you'll spiral right out of this auditorium. Are you sure your just upset at him" Charlie interrupts the rambling

"Yeah, what else would I be?"

"I think your jealous dude"

"Why would I be jealous, that makes no sense" Todd scoffs.

"Do I seriously need to spell everything out for you? Todd you like Neil as in more than a friend"

"That can't be true. Is it? I always just thought I thought of him as just a good friend. And he would never like me back. And even if he did-"

"Dude can you have this epiphany a little faster, I need to get back to Welton. Just tell him how you feel ok."

"But what if I lose him" Todd sighs. That's his biggest fear. Losing his best friend. Neil was the first to take him in on that first day at Welton. When Todd was anxious Neil could always calm him down. They were always there to support eachother. He couldn't imagine living without Neil, but he couldn't live in a lie either.

"It's Neil, your not going to lose him." Charlie walks away, leaving Todd alone in the nearly empty auditorium.

"Hey I thought you'd gone" Neil said as Todd entered the dressing room as he was packing up for the night.

"I couldn't wait to tell you how great you were" Todd smiled.

"You liked it?"

"I loved it"

"Tonight was the first time I actually felt alive. It was just perfect. I'm so glad you were there"

"Me too"

"Hey Neil good job, I'll see you around" A girl popped her head around into the room, not just any girl it was hermia.

"Yeah you too" Neil smiled back

"Isn't that"

"Yeah she played hermia. She's really nice"

"Are you guys like a thing or something" Todd questioned, still debating whether to confess.

"Why would you say that?"

"She just kissed you at the end of the play that's all"

"I told you she's nice" Neil laughed

"I just would've thought you told me if you were in a relationship"

"I never told you we were in a relationship, why are you so upset about this?" Neil said slightly raising his voice.

"I just wish you would've told me that's all" Todd said backing into a corner and getting quiet. He hates confrontation, it always makes him anxious and uneasy.

"For the last time we aren't together. Todd? Are you jealous?"

"No" Todd said looking down at the floor.

"Besides she's not my type"

"She's beautiful and blonde if she isn't your type than who is?" Todd finally looked up to reveal Neil much closer than when he started.

"I like other people. Is she your type?"

"God no" Todd blurted then turned red. "What is your type then?"

"I think you know" Neil whispered under his breath but Todd could still hear. "Todd?"

"Yeah?" Todd said holding his breath.

"Can I kiss you" Todd slightly nodded his head, but that was enough for Neil.
