Shinobu's POV
"Should we head back now?" Y/n asked. I truly loved her, even if I knew I couldn't have her.
"Hmm, follow me I want to show you something." I smiled at her, I felt at peace whenever she was around me, I truly smiled around her she had that affect.
"Where are we going?" She asked, her voice was so gentle I wanted to stay with her forever. In the end I can't though.
"Surprise."
"Fine, but I hate surprises y'know!" Y/n pouted, I wonder if she knew I was hopelessly in love with her.
"I promise no more surprises,"
"Good." Y/n responded, I giggled at her, she was like a child sometimes.
"Here we are!" I announced, in front of us was a large field, filled with all kinds of flowers, a small stream home to small minnow and plankton.
"Wow, it's so pretty here!" Y/n said as she fawned over the flowers lining the stream. "Ahh!" I turned at the sound of Y/n's yelp, laughing at her as I saw her sitting in the river soaked.
"What happened?" I asked, fighting back a laugh.
"I tried to catch a fish." She admitted, turning her head to hide her blush.
"Here, I'll help you out." I stuck out my hand to her pulling her up out of the water.
"Thank you." Y/n said, taking off her haori.
"Here, come sit down, I'll give you my haori." I said, taking off my haori and handing it to Y/n, then taking a seat under the shade of a sakura tree.
"Thanks, Shinobu." She responded sitting next to me.
"Y/n, I wanted to ask you something."
"Yeah?"
"You're not going to leave me right?"
"Nope. Never. Not in a million years."
"Good."
"But you're not going to leave me right, Shinobu?"
"Never."
"Promise?"
"I promise, Y/n."
"Good I wouldn't want to lose the person I love."
"What?" Did she just confess?
"I don't want to lose someone I love. I don't want to be alone again." Y/n said sadly, I knew she was talking about her family, they'd died after being stabbed by someone.
"Well, I wouldn't either." I cooed, turning her to face me, our lips connected in seconds, all our hidden feelings pouring into the kiss.
"Don't ever leave me."
"I promise, Y/n."
