Y/n's POV

A new day. I slammed the snooze button on my alarm just as it went on.

"Shut up..." I groaned rolling over, a little too far though, seeing as I fell off my bed. "Agh! Dammit, stupid bed!" I walked over to my drawers and pulled out a pair of jeans and a tee-shirt, putting on a handmade bracelet, created with gold wire and a small cherry blossom in the middle. I'd always loved this bracelet, though I never knew why I'd found it in an old antique shop. I put on a coat as I walked out slipping into my white boots and grabbing my wallet. I walked out the door, going to my regular cafe. I quickened my pace, soon arriving, I ordered my usual, a large coffee. As I was waiting I noticed they had gotten a new performer. She was pretty short, she had black hair with purple tips, which I assumed she'd dip-dyed, she also had unique purple to dark violet eyes. She was wearing a white dress with long sleeves. "Hey, did you get a new singer?" I asked, as the barista handed me my coffee.

"Yeah, she's really good at singing, her voice is really gentle." He responded.

"What's her name?"

"Creep."

"Shut up!" I said, slapping his arm, he was my brother so I was allowed to do whatever I wanted.

"Fine, jeez, her name's Shinobu. Shinobu Kocho." He said reluctantly answered, rubbing his arm where I'd hit him.

"Huh, weird. She seems familiar." I unknowingly stared at her setting up her microphone, snapping back into reality as she caught sight of me and smiled. 'Such a kind smile... She seems so familiar...' "Whatever, bye." I said as I walked out and took a seat on a bench underneath a cherry blossom tree. I really loved this tree, it was another mystery I'd never found the answer to. I took a sip of my coffee, enjoying the warmth.

"Excuse me."  I turned at the sound of such a sweet voice. It was the singer girl.

"Oh, yeah?"

"There's a cherry blossom on your head." She said as she giggled, she reached over and plucked it off.

"Thanks." I responded, I bet I looked so dumb sitting there with a flower on my head.

"Do you come here often?" She asked, taking a seat beside me.

"Yeah, you?"

"Everyday. I've always liked this tree and I've never known why." She shrugged, moving her hands into her lap. "What's your name? You seem so familiar yet I don't think I know you."

"Oh! Y/n, Y/n L/n." I smiled at her as I said this, "And you're Shinobu Kocho, right?"

She raised her eyebrow.

"Oh! Sorry I asked my brother, he works at the cafe."

"Still pretty creepy but not as much." She giggled. "Where'd you get that bracelet?" She asked, her eyes glossed over and it looked like she was about to cry.

"I found it at an antique store before it closed." I explained.

"Oh, it's very pretty." She said as she rubbed her eye, most likely to wipe away her tears.

"Yeah." I nodded my head.

"Well, I'll see you around Y/n!" She waved goodbye, walking back to the cafe.

"Wait! Shinobu!" I called out to her but she didn't seem to hear me and kept walking. I ran up to her, grabbing her hand, "Thanks for keeping your promise."

"Hmm?" Her eyes glossed over again, though this time a rouge tears managed to fall out.

"Oh, sorry, I don't know why I said that. It just sort of came out." I was so weird today.

"Don't worry about it! I'll see you around." She smiled sadly before turning around and walking back.

Nobody's POV

Shinobu waved, walking back into the cafe.

"See you around!" You walked away, and for a reason unknown to you, a tear rolled off your cheek. It happened to Shinobu too, though she knew why.

"I already broke one promise, Y/n, I won't break this one."

A/N: I know the ending is pretty rushed but I don't feeling like writing so sorry.
