Shinobu's POV
'Is this it?' I walked up to the heavy metal door, pulling on its' handle 'I smell blood...' I opened it all the way, Y/n behind me. I heard her gasp at the sight, It was upper rank two, sitting in a mass of female bodies... He was eating them all.
"Hm?" He turned to look at us, I hated everything about him. "Oh? someone's here? Woah It's a girl!" He exclaimed, halfway through eating a womans arm. I was furious, how could you be such a monster? "She looks so fine and delicious, I'll have to thank Nakime later." I could feel a vein in my head.
"Idiot! Shut up! You're not going to eat her!" Y/n was in front of me, I could see she was disgusted too.
"Shinobu, leave the demon slayer corps. I know you're working hard. And you really, really are, but maybe you're better off... I just want you to obtain happiness like any normal girl would. And live 'till you're old. That's... enough for me..."
"No! I won't ever quit! I'll avenge you for sure! Tell me! Who was that demon you beat just now...!! Please, just tell me, Kanae! I can't live a normal life after someone did this to you! Sister!"
"It was a demon. With lots of blood stains on the top of his head."
"Why hello there, very nice to meet you. My name is Douma, It's a very nice night out isn't it?"
"He always gives a carefree smile. And he speaks in a clam, gentle manner."
"H... He- Help... Help me!!" There was one woman who was still alive, tears pouring out of her eyes.
"Shhh! we're talking right now." The demon said, looking down at her as he put a finger to his lips. I quickly ran to her, carrying her out of harm's way.
"Are you okay?" I asked, smiling.
"Woah! You sure are fast. Are you a Hashira?"
"Ah... Ah..." I ignored the demon and focused on the distressed woman, smiling down at her. My eyes widened as she suddenly died, she had been cut into slices.
"Ah, don't worry about her! Just leave her over there. I'll make sure to gobble her up later." The demon called Douma said.
"Shut up you nasty demon! You deserve to die!" I heard Y/n shouting at him.
"The weapons this demon uses... Are a pair... Of sharp fans..."
I turned to face him, in his hands were a pair of sharp fans.
"I am the founder of the 'Eternal Paradise Cult.' My duty is to make all worshippers, including myself, happy. So I'll eat her up without leaving a speck."
'So this is the demon that killed my sister...' "Make everyone happy? Don't be insane. That girl was screaming for help just now.
"So that's why I saved her." He replied, as if he were helping. "She's not feeling any more pain. Nor is she suffering. There's nothing to be afraid of. You know everyone is afraid of dying. That's why I gobble them all up. Now they get to live together with me. Forever. All the feelings of my worshippers. Blood. Flesh. I made sure to accept, rescue, and guide them all to enlightenment." Douma said as he closed his eyes and touched his hand to his heart.
