"hey y/n-chan!" mikey yelled from afar,running towards y/n. once he reached her,he pulled her into a tight embrace. y/n smiled before hugging back.

basically,y/n and mikey were childhood best friends. they obviously like each other,yet they don't admit it and think that the other one sees them as a friend. and of course,they were wrong.

the two always hang out everyday,not even a day they don't see each other. y/n was also a toman member,at mitsuya's division. her and mitsuya were also close,since they act like siblings all the time.

"how was your day mikey??" she asked once they pulled away. "its okay,but now its better since im here with you!" he replied and y/n giggled.

that might sound really cheesy, but y/n never saw his words that way. she just think that he's being really friendly to her,knowing that they were basically childhood friends.

the two hanged out for the rest of the day,eating in different restaurants and shopping in malls. mikey then announced that theres going to be a meeting tonight.

they both part ways to change into their uniforms,since they don't live together. mikey dropped her at her house and said that he won't be able to pick her up,so maybe ask chifuyu or mitsuya. y/n agreed and mikey left the house.

y/n dashed at her room,changing into her clothes. they already ate dinner together so she's not hungry anymore,since they ate a lot. she fixed her uniform and put on some light makeup,before calling mitsuya to pick her up.

but mitsuya told her that he was still making dinner for his siblings,saying that he can't pick her up. y/n sighed and told him it's okay,before hanging up. she then called chifuyu,one of her friends.

they were also close to each other,but in a friendly way. they met through mikey,and at that time she already liked mikey. not to mention, chifuyu likes someone else.

luckily,chifuyu was just about to head out right now so he could pick her up. she thanked him and waited for him. once he arrived,she hop on his motorcycle and headed at the shrine.

they sooner arrived and a lot of members were already scattered around the shrine,meaning they're going to start soon. y/n thanked chifuyu before watching him ran towards baji,his best friend.

y/n tapped her foot and saw mikey and takemichi talking to each other at the side. confused,she decided to eavesdrop.

she hid behind the tree,and eavesdropped. "ne,mikey-kun,do you like y/n?" that sentence made her tensed. "y-y/n?...uh...she..."

"s-she annoys me and she pisses me off."

that sentence broke her heart,before putting her hand to her mouth since she gasped. she quickly ran away so she won't get caught,and dashed outside the shrine. she panted,she couldn't believe mikey sees her as that. she thought they were friends,and why does he even hang out with her if she annoys him?!

thinking,she thought on how this was a hint that she need to start avoiding him. it was hard,but she had to since she don't want to hurt herself.

after that day,y/n became cold to mikey and avoided him. when mikey pulls her into a hug,y/n tells him to get off her. when mikey asks to hang out,she makes up excuses just so she can't see him. it was hard for her,and it confused mikey.

it went on for a week,before mikey had enough. he drove over to her house and knocked repeatedly.

she opened the door and saw mikey— kind of pissed.

her eyes widened, "what are you doing here?" she looked away.

"y/n,are you avoiding me?" that question caught her off guard, "w-what? no?"

"then why won't you hang out with me?" he asked her straight forwardly. "because im busy-"

"no. you never skip hanging out with me." mikey cutted her off. a tick appeared at her face, "and what if i have to? don't tell me you're going to force me to hang out with you,manjiro."

mikey's eyes widened,the last time she called her his real name was years ago. and when she uses it,it means she's serious.

"is there something wrong? why won't you tell me? why are you avoiding me?" he asked all three questions at once.

she bit her lip,she had enough. "why are you asking me this?! didn't you tell takemichi that i annoy you and piss you off?! and now you're asking to hang out with me?! don't play me,mikey! i have feelings too goddamit!" at this point,she was yelling. some tears also fell from her face by now.

his eyes widened once again, "i-i dont find you annoying!"

"then why did you tell takemichi that?! don't fucking lie you-"

"because i don't want to admit that i have feelings for you! i like you,y/n! and I'm too shy to admit that! that's why i just tell that to people so they would stop asking me!"

that sentence caught her off guard, 'h-he likes me...?'

"im sorry if i hurt your feelings..." mikey muttered. y/n cried harder and crashed her lips into his,shocking him.

once she pulled away,she wiped her tears and mikey stood there,froze. she laughed, "i like you too..."

mikey smiled and hugged her,laying his head at the crook of her neck. "im sorry for saying those hurtful words..." y/n said and hugged her back.

"no...its okay...it was my fault anyway,i told people you annoy me and everything...."
