A/N: This was honestly on of the hardest chapters to write of all time. I told you I would post three today because I've been a horrible author and have not posted in quite a while. Live has been busy and the Internet has been being extra difficult.

Chapter 12

"Please, Cassie!" Liza said, pulling on my arm.

"Liza, you can't come with me," I said to her as I gently removed her fingers from around my arm, "I'm barely get home before you dad as is."

I looked down to see that she had crossed her arms over her chest. Her lip slipped into a pout. Her eyes became fixated on the floor. Her voice came out a hush whisper, but still intense, "I wouldn't so you down. I'm not a baby."

"I know you aren't sweetie," I say as I crouch down to her level. Her eyes raised to mine, a slight brim of tears around them causing them to glisten.

"Then why can't I come?" She asks me. Her eyes turned back to the ground as she spoke, but before they lowered I saw a flash of hurt.

Don't do it Cassandra. My brain told me. She can't come. I knew I was right, but she looked so hurt. Don't cave!

But her eyes turned up to mine, the look in them just seemed like I should bring her with me. Well...she has been a really good girl...Hasn't said one thing to Eli about me going out...Another part of my brain reasoned.

Don't do it! My more realistic side said.

I felt my will beginning to collapse as I fought and internal battle. Then she muttered one little request. Her words were soft and pleading with my heart.

"Please Cassie..."

"Fine," I say as my practical side loses to my merciful side.

In an instant she is jumping and dancing. "YES!" She yells as her hands flare around in the air.

"Hey!" I say ending her celebration as I place my hands on her shoulders, "You have to stay with me at all times and not run off."

"Oh I promise!" She says as she holds up her pinky, "Pinky promise!" She says as her eyes glow with happiness.

"Go get on your coat," I say and wrap my pinky around her tiny digit for a moment before releasing.

A few minutes later Liza is in front of me with a dark blue coat with metallic brown weaved in to fabric with a pair of light colored jeans. She tries to put on a pair of brown Uggs while walking, but trips. I laugh as I help her up and pat hair that is styled into a tight ballerina bun.

"Let's go!" She says grabbing onto my hand and running out the door, me in tow.

"Well someone's excited!" I say as we walk towards the bus stop.

"I want to meet you're new friend!" she says, but I pull us to a stop. How does she know that I've been hanging out with Chase and Cooper?

"What?!" I say in a hushed whisper, as if Eli could hear us.

"Yeah! I heard you talking to someone on the phone, and you never dressed that nice before," she says proud of her Sherlock Holmes observation skills.

I looked down at my clothes. I just had on a brown riding jacket with a teal striped shirt under it, with a pair of dark washed jeans, some riding boots, a coral knit hat, one of my favorite purses, and some light makeup. I guess I have been dressing better since I meet the guys...
