Song: What I've Done by Linkin Park(This song is about life change and I think its a perfect fit for this chapter)

Charlotte's POV

That night in March, over 10 years ago, was the night my parents died in a car accident. I'm 18 now, so yes I was 8 years old when my parents died. My siblings were only babies when everything changed, they don't remember anything. Since then, it has not been easy growing up. Mrs. Joan happily volunteer to watch us until the police officer did some digging on my parents will.

After about 6 months or so investigating my parents accident and their documents, Joey, Anna and I were sent to live with our Aunt Jinny. She lived in South Carolina, while my family lived in Northern Michigan. Aunt Jinny never came to see us and we never saw her. Apparently Aunt Jinny and mom didn't quite see eye-to-eye on ways of life, but it looks like it doen't seem to matter. My mother and father were gone, I practically raised Joey and Anna, then we had to move cross country to live with someone who was never really in our lives. Believe me it was a lot to handle.

Now that you are roughly caught up on what has been going on, I'm Charlotte Ann Bradley, 18 years old and half way through my senior year of high school. My twin siblings, Joey and Anna, are now 10 and in the 4th grade.

Living with Aunt Jinny wasn't bad at all. Even though we live with Aunt Jinny, she worked a lot to support the three of us, so I continued to take care of Joey and Anna. My siblings and I had to adjust to the weather changes and how we would dress due to the great weather. The beach was about a mile walk from the house, in which I now called home with Joey and Anna. Most days after school and after homework, I take the "little ones" to the beach and play with them. Running up and down the shore line till the sun would set. The three of us would sit in the moist, grainy sand and watch the sky change brilliant colors. Purples, oranges, reds and yellows merged in mix with the blue sky and the coming dark horizon. After the sun would set, we would all walk hand in hand back home to bathe, eat, review and get some sleep.

"Charlotte, are the kids in bed?" Aunt Jinny asked after coming home from another late shift.

"Yeah." I simply said with an English workbook in front of me.

"Good," she stated, taking a seat at the table with me and continued on, "Because I want to talk to you about your parents and their accident. It's time you know the truth."

"The truth? The roads were bad and the car lost traction. End. Of. Story." I replied to her.

She looked at me with that look of concern. "Here." She pushed two files in that ugly mustard yellow envelope. "Everything you ever needed to know about the accident. The truth."

Aunt Jinny tapped the envelopes filled with papers, nodded and went on her way to her room. I stared at the pile and contemplated whether or not I should go through the documents. Being a naturally curious teenager, i grabbed the pile along with my school work and went to my room. There, I will unfold the "truth" about the death of my parents death on that March night.

A/N Long chapter I know and boring I know that too. But I want you the readers to know as much about this story as possible. Comments, Voting and Sharing this story is always a good thing!     -lanialicea xoxo
