"you good?" luca asked me over the phone. i was at the store whilst he waited on me in the car.
"everything's fine babe," i smiled. he thinks i'm in here for some pads when really its the pregnancy tests i'm after. i haven't seen my period in over a month and me and luca been at it since i basically came out the hospital which was over a month ago.
if i was pregnant i wanted to surprise luca that's why i didn't tell him what i was in here doing whilst he sat in the car paranoid asf.
"i'm just bout to stay otp until you back here,"
"okay," i shrugged looking for the clear blue one. i grabbed two and put it in the cart a long with some pads.
"oh lord," i said as i saw a familiar face in the distance. chrissy was further down the aisle where the baby stuff was i guess buying shit for her baby.
"what happened?" luca asked.
"nothing it's just chrissy," i said hiding ny pregnancy tests because i knew i was gonna walk past her and ian want her to see that.
"she say something to you?" he asked.
"no i don't even think she's seen me," i took in her appearance and saw that she didn't have her baby bump anymore probably cause she gave birth, "congratulations i guess,"
"is you done?" luca fussed.
"yes i'm paying rn," i said scanning the items. after paying for everything i slipped the pregnancy tests in my purse and held the pads in my hand.
once i got back to the car luca started it right away and we drove back home.
"why you got allem books at home and don't even read?"
"who told you ion read em?"
"okay since when did you read?"
"since your dad been putting me on," he said and i nodded. we stopped by mcdonalds to get some breakfast then went home.
i was in a rush to get home so i could take these tests because i've literally been holding in my pee since i woke up.

"i'm not tripping chrissy i swear i saw him," i said into my phone.
"mei... the man was literally buried in a casket. you sure it wasn't a dream or anything?"
"i was in the line for popeyes and i literally saw him walk in there,"
"maybe it was someone that just looks like him. idk. but tavares is very much dead,"
"tuh, i know what i saw," i waved her off.
"whatever girl. i saw egypt today buying pregnancy tests," she scoffed.
"you still obsessed or something?"
"i don't get it. why are you always defending her if she don't fuck with you? you stay defending that girl and she stay dubbing you,"
"i'm not defending her i'm just not bout to sit here and be mad for no reason. she hasn't done anything to neither of us so i have no reason to dislike her. you however dislike her over a man that never wanted you and that's just sad,"
"i already told you ion give af about luca or ole girl stfu with ts dawg,"
"see there you go. 'ole girl' why did you have to refer her as ole girl but luca by his name,"
"because mei ion give af about saying that girls name tf,"
"yeah you have problems," i laughed.
"anyways i saw her buying pregnancy tests,"
"i wouldn't be surprised if luca got her pregnant tbh i saw it coming. i can't wait for the wedding tho," i sighed. every day i miss being in egypt's life. knowing the ins and outs and being involved. i just know that weddings about to be something else and i hate that ion even know nothing about it.
"when you think they gon get married?" chrissy asked me.
"not right away. if she is pregnant then probably after she has the baby or something," i shrugged. just then i heard a glass break from the kitchen. "hold on girl,"
"wtf was that?" chrissy asked.
"idk i think i left the window open in the kitchen or some shit," i said going to get up and check. just as i thought, the kitchen window was wide open. the wind must've made the curtains hit the glass or something.
"ugh it's glass everywhere," i said making sure i didn't tread on it. i closed the windows then went grab the broom in the cleaning cabinet.
"aniyah's crying girl lemme go cater to her needs. call me back when you get your shit situated,"
"will do," i said hanging up. i finished cleaning up the glass then went to the window to make sure it was closed.
my apartment was on the first floor, so i had big kitchen windows and a door slide. the street and pavement were also so close. so as i opened the curtain, i saw someone just standing there, watching me from across the street.
"wtf," i said taking a closer look. as soon as i realised it was tj i locked my windows and moved away from them. i went to make sure everything else in my house was locked before quickly calling chrissy.
"i told you he's not dead," i said literally shaking, "i saw him. i saw him outside my apartment chrissy tj's not dead."

writer's block again y'all sorry 😅. what did you guys get for christmas? i was a lil disappointed when i unwrapped my present and didn't see meech folded up in the box but it's whatever. i got an ipad tho so now i'm gonna be those tiktok ppl that draw boondocks characters on their ipads. can't wait 🤪
