school. the shittest place ever, surrounded by people that only care about their popularity and judge you for how you look.

RING, RING, RING, the telephone rang throughout the house. RING, RING, RING. it carried on, is nobody going to answer this? i rubbed my eyes and walked into the hallway then picked it up.

"hello?" i yawned. "erica!" it was jennifer "where the fuck are you?" huh? "school started 20 minutes ago" fuck. "fuck!" i shouted out loud. "dont you mean double fuck!" she shouted "get here soon, you know mr phillips will kill you" and with that, she hung up.

im in so much shit, i sped back to my room and straight to my closet grabbinga pair of blue denim jeans and a plain jumper then rolled up my sleeves. i fluffed up my hair the slightest with the extra time i had. i almost fell down the stairs trying to grab my bag at the same time with shoes that werent even on my feet properly. oh well.

luckily, the school was only down the street from my house, i began to rush and hoped that other students would only just be arriving now.

i walked into mr phillips class, heads swung around in my direction.

"miss sutherland" mr phillips gotten up and walked over to me "late on the last day back very unlike you." him and the class stared at me waiting for the answer but i couldnt say anything. after a few moments, he realised what the problem was. "everybody back to work!" which got everybodys attention besides from one boy who wouldnt look away from the situation. "sorry sir" i apologized. "i guess since this is your first time late, i can let you off" his annoyed face went back calm "go take a seat." he then returned to his desk.

i saw jennifer doing small waves to me and pointing at her spare seat, atleast i dont have to sit next to some girl who will judge me every ten seconds or some boy who will rant on about themselves and try to flex that their dad has 10 yachts, half the time they dont.

"so why was you late this time?" she whispered then let out a quiet laugh. "i overslept" i shrugged. "of course you did" she nudged me.

the lesson wasnt actually bad, besides from when it was interupted by our principal coming in and taking random students out which didnt surprise me at all.

"mr haim!" the door swung open and the boy stood up and left. "who the fuck is mr haim?" i whispered to jennifer. "your dumb, arent you?" she looked so dissapointed in me "thats who cindy boyd dated back in 9th grade." holy shit. "thats the boy she went around the school crying about?" i was generally quite surprised and jennifer gave a nod in return.

cindy boyd used to be our friend in 6th-9th grade until she left when corey ended things with her. we've lost contact ever since and her leaving happens to be the reason why im so quiet now.

i wonder, how have i never noticed him before even though he is the so called 'popular' im not surprised that he is though, he has the looks and the personality but by the way he acted in this class he seemed like a total asshole.

time went way too slow first few periods but i didnt mind since i was with jen and now im sitting in a math class trying to pretend i know this stuff when in reality im wondering why snickers and whispers were coming from the girls behind me.

"who even is she?" one said.
"i heard her names erica, she used to be friends with cindy boyd" the other answered.
"i hated her, i cant belive corey dated that bitch" the third girls voice became annoyed "but ive never heard her speak"
"unsociable much" the first girl caused them to snicker

please can this day end right now...
